2017-03-28 at 7:15 PM UTCI had jury duty earlier this year. It was alright. They did make kind of a thing out of it when they called someone's name and they weren't there.

2017-03-28 at 8:44 PM UTCPull some 12 angry jurors shit and just keep voting the opposite of the majority and trying to convince the others they're wrong. See if you can get a hung jury.

If he's on it, the jury definitely won't be hung.
Speaking of 12 Angry Men, great movie but absolute bollocks in terms of accuracy. -

Because the premise of a juror going out to conduct independent investigation is pretty retarded. The role of the jury in our legal system is essentially to take the facts of the case, as presented, and determine whether or not they logically lead to the conclusions that the prosecution is attempting to draw from them. Not to investigate stuff, introduce new evidence etc.
For example when Davis goes out and buys a knife to prove it's common, he would have been kicked right off the jury.
There are also some completely insane leaps of logic made in the movie, such as when #8 says that the lady has nosepad indents on her nose, so she must wear glasses, so she didn't see shit. That's a pretty big fuckin leap.
