I had to go to a jury selection once, holy shit was that boring. calling attendance on like 300 people, felt like I was in school again. me and some women got shushed for being loud in while waitng in yet another smaller room. I took a secular oath and then got told to stop trying to sit down during this. I then got instantly rejected. weeks later the government sent me an $11 dollar check for lunch that day, which I lost. Good thing I was rejected I might have let that dexter wannabe motherfucker go free.

"(g) Any person summoned for jury service who fails to appear as directed may be ordered by the district court to appear forthwith and show cause for failure to comply with the summons. Any person who fails to show good cause for noncompliance with a summons may be fined not more than $1,000, imprisoned not more than three days, ordered to perform community service, or any combination thereof."
