think about it. the main reason people are depressed is because they are unsuccessful at reproducing. because those that are capable of breeding too busy raising their younglings to have time to contemplate offing themselves.
you feel suicidal because your existence have no bearings on the survival of your ilks. and nature is just trying to conserve resources.

You'd have to be careful about which drugs you take. Vesna Vulović's survival of a 30000 foot free fall is attributed at least in part to her low blood pressure. Something about being relaxed/drunk/unconscious when you hit the ground increases the likelihood you'll survive, and surviving a fall from great heights would not be fun.
