I was right, general jedi behaviour
fucking jedis. they violated a sovereign countries borders....how the shit is this not being addressed by the UN...
I don't get why they'd use SA-5s when Syria has SA-10s and the SA-21 system. SA-5 is antique and pales compared to a -10 or -21. fuck...either one of those systems engages any manned aircraft, its more likely its going down than not. SA-5...not so much.
Why the shit would they launch a SAM at a SAM? IADS are one of the most complex...maybe the most complex...parts of modern warfare and there needs to be a whole helluva lot more info released for me to form any sort of assessment.
one thing I am certain about is both syria and jediland news releases are more propaganda than accurate reporting. unless someone comes up with jediplane pieces...or valid pics of a broken jedibird...it didnto get shot down. if the jedis actually flew their birds where it was feasible for an SA-5 to engage them...they have gone full retard. (a single SA-5 launcher probably has half the middle east in range) -

I remember when it first came out der juden were claiming the costs per missile ('interceptor') were $40k to $50k. back then I had an intimate familiarity with how much those sorts of things cost and considering other similar systems, there's no way each one was less than $100k but probably close to the $250k range.
the pisser is...of the (back then) billion-ish USD cost of the development and production costs...the US taxpayer was paying for most of it. and the best part was the fucking kikes wouldn't allow the US to have information on the system specs and details.
considering the cost of each interceptor...and the cost of what the missile is itercepting...the fucking hajis can literally bankrupt the state of judenland by launching their garage-built $200 ghetto bombs into assorted population centers then laugh as der juden spend a few hundred k per missile...and they usually launch multiple interceptors 'just in case.'
and jedis wonder why no one likes them -

Israel has a policy of never admitting when their planes get shot down. one went down in Yemen a while back and they deny it to this day, even though the army there have posted pictures of themselves posing with the wreckage. the official jediStory is that three missiles were fired, no planes were hit and their Iron Dome/Arrow/whatever system intercepted one of the SAM missiles launched at the jets - not impossible considering as IS said earlier, the s200 munitions are fucking huge and from the 60s, but unlikely.
all of the unofficial sources I could find on the Israeli side reported missile launches and explosions but couldn't confirm anything more than that.
most of the sources I follow are either in or linked to Syria, but I've also recently been chatting to a local in Iraq who's been posting some amazing photos - some of them he's taken, some he's come across but it's hard to tell which is which. here's a gallery with a bunch:

I believe Syria and Israel are technically at war; they never signed any sort of agreement ending it because Israel would not leave the Golan Heights.
that said, you could make the same point about the US, half the EU, Australia....... -

Israel has done this something like 5 times recently - they claim they're attacking Hezbullah or some other group they don't like, but it's usually SAA sites that get hit. in many cases the SAA has claimed that their attacks were explicitly to protect ISIS or AQ.
This is the first time the SAA have fired SAMs at them - they've been very careful about not engaging US/EU/etc craft, and the jedis have a habit of flying at night and not flying their colours so they have to be extremely sure of the target before engaging.
for that reason it may be likely that Russia gave the go-ahead to engage - they have S400 units (and in all likelihood a prototype S500) with the latest radar deployed relatively close to the Israel border so it stands to reason they were able to get much earlier and more detailed information than the SAA's units.
in short, the SAA has demonstrated that the jedis can no longer carry out strikes with impunity and that Russia is backing them on that. -

that...and every intelligence unit in the western hemisphere is drooling over the telemetry of that launch. SA-5 nothing... SAM vs SAM? the testicular emissions resulting from that engagement are going to fill a fleet of ocean going tankers.
I don't know what jedimissile was launched. Ive seen articles calling it arrow or patriot then showing stock-pics of the opposite... patriot or arrow. might even have been iron-jedi, depending on range.
as far as an as yet deployed S500...no. firstly, it's not designed primarily for anti-aircraft when other, less expensive, alternatives are available, and secondly, Russia is trying to keep its capabilities hush-hush and sparking one off in the middle of Syria is going to advertize to the world it's capabilities...including ELINT they don't want to be giving out. -

the only thing the jedimedia can be depended on for is to NOT provide accurate information.
I can't wait until non-jedi media starts releasing pics of jediplanes in tiny pieces scattered about the desert.
the single greatest accomplishment of jediland is trumpeting their operational successes while wholly burying their far more numerous failures. and holy flaming shit, do they have some good ones I wish everyone could know about.

yeah IS it's a link to an album, not supposed to be embedded.
this might actually be what it was about.
will probably find out more over the next few days but there are indications it was actually a response to the rumours that Russia is transferring more and more of those Tochka-U (OTR-21/Scarab-C etc.) SRBMs to Syria - rumours are that SAA launch platforms were the primary bombing target, considering Palmyra is not contested or near the frontlines anymore -
