2017-03-10 at 10:41 PM UTC"As for the appearance of the wheels and their construction: their appearance was like the gleaming of beryl; and the four had the same form, their construction being something like a wheel within a wheel. When they moved, they moved in any of the four directions without veering as they moved. Their rims were tall and awesome, for the rims of all four were full of eyes all round. When the living creatures moved, the wheels moved beside them; and when the living creatures rose from the earth, the wheels rose. Wherever the spirit would go, they went, and the wheels rose along with them; for the spirit of the living creatures was in the wheels. When they moved, the others moved; when they stopped, the others stopped; and when they rose from the earth, the wheels rose along with them; for the spirit of the living creatures was in the wheels. Over the heads of the living creatures there was something like a dome, shining like crystal, spread out above their heads. Under the dome their wings were stretched out straight, one towards another; and each of the creatures had two wings covering its body. When they moved, I heard the sound of their wings like the sound of mighty waters, like the thunder of the Almighty, a sound of tumult like the sound of an army; when they stopped, they let down their wings. And there came a voice from above the dome over their heads; when they stopped, they let down their wings.
And above the dome over their heads there was something like a throne, in appearance like sapphire; and seated above the likeness of a throne was something that seemed like a human form. Upwards from what appeared like the loins I saw something like gleaming amber, something that looked like fire enclosed all round; and downwards from what looked like the loins I saw something that looked like fire, and there was a splendor all round."

It baffles me to think that there are so many who think "Yes, my sect of humans got the deities right. We know exactly what God wants."
You really think God is so petty as to care about if you eat pig or if you eat red meat on the wrong day? Like goddamn. How egotistical can you be to trust some prophets who died hundreds or thousands of years ago. Just because people are dead doesn't make them trustworthy. I have never, ever met a self proclaimed XXXXX who has actually done any research into the books. They just believe blindly and never question where the bible or its teachings come from. The same goes for any religious idiot.
I believe in something beyond but I'd be fooling myself if I said with any conviction that I knew for sure what it was. Much less what the fuck any possible spirits want. All I've got is a feeling. Nothing more. Nothing less.
I never said only catholics were right, you sound like you need a heavy dose of lithium or bill the cat dick up your ass. lol way to get so frothy and upset, you need to chill out its my belief not yours, I'm not pushing it on you. don't be such a cuck.
I even admitted in this thread that I only carry certain aspects of Catholicism with me but I'm an independent.

2017-03-10 at 11 PM UTCIf you're Catholic, you aren't independent. If you're Catholic, you think (at least) only Christians are right. If these things aren't true for you, you aren't Catholic. There's no such thing as an "independent catholic." It'd be like saying you were a Sunni who believed in gay marriage. A variation of Islam? Sure. Sunni? Fuck no lol.

You can't see God, but on mescaline I could perceive Gods presence with my eyes, I was looking at fully grown outdoor marijuana plants but It was like they were a vessel of Gods energy. -
2017-03-11 at 12:32 AM UTCExtremists are the only "religious" folk that I can at least respect. Those who don't pick and choose which part of their holy book they wish to adhere to but instead adhere to it all strictly. If you're gonna believe in a deity you ought to believe wholeheartedly rather than riding the fence and believing only as it serves a beneficial purpose to you.

2017-03-11 at 12:33 AM UTCThe real believers let their faith interfere with daily life and relationships to the point where they are shut ins that call everyone sinners.
Just like Iron John. -
2017-03-11 at 12:38 AM UTCThe funny part about the Bible is that Jesus instructs to 'not be like the Pharisees' who are the devout believers. Jesus is basically saying, just do whatever don't be a self-righteous asshole, then on the same page talks about eternal damnation if you commit any sin and there being zero forgiveness for blasphemy of the Holy Spirit. Confusing book, that Bible.

"I know your deeds, that you are neither cold nor hot. I wish you were either one or the other! So, because you are lukewarm — neither hot nor cold — I am about to spit you out of my mouth. You say, ‘I am rich; I have acquired wealth and do not need a thing.’ But you do not realize that you are wretched, pitiful, poor, blind and naked." -
2017-03-11 at 12:58 AM UTCI swung back from complete atheism towards the idea of pure consciousness and some, impersonal "higher power".

Precisely. It's all an oxymoron anyway. Jesus is an oxymoron. :) -
