it works until you run out of it. in fact, deforesting has become such a problem in the turn of the last century that oil was finally adopted as the official alternative. history repeats itself... -

Yeah if you look at old photos from around here, you notice how different the country looks, as there were way less trees. Trees were valuable for fuel, so tended to get the chop. Nowadays everyone has lots of money to buy oil with, so the trees have a bit of a chance, but you can notice that poor countries have less trees, especially less old trees, if you look around. -
