I was recommend that you get a gaming PC and connect it to your TV + any wireless controller, but then I remembered you are a skullgont and probably want to avoid the effort. -

I might get one and use having a kid as an excuse. I play the least amount of video games as anyone on this site which is 0.00 hours per month. If I had a ps5 I might play if there were good games or even if it was reverse compatible with ps4 games. Would be cool to see kids playing it with that as their foundation for what a "video game" is when mine is sonic the hedgefaggot's gay ass

I'm planning on moving my computer desk next to my gaming TV and getting a gaming pc to hook up to it. I just don't really know where to begin with the pc. -

I have am i5 and gtx 780 with 8gb of ram.
Still a really good machine and capable of anything 1080p and can even drive vr.
I need to get a new i5 though mine died.
I used to use it as a console id have steam vr set as my shell with kodi set as the shell on my older desktop.
It's pretty neat eventually I'll keep it as my console permanently with it set to boot straight to steam's bigscreen mode. -
2020-09-24 at 3:38 AM UTCSo basically right now if I were you I'd go with an i5, gtx 780 or 1080 and 8gb of ram, then in a few years when the 4000 series is out or the 3080 goes down in price get one of those and an i7 along with 16 or 32gb of ram.
It would be foolish to invest in anything expensive right now since tech is at such a crucial point things are going to change do rapidly.
By 2024/25 HMDs will be 4k standard with 8K on the higer end and by then the 3080 might be slightly out of date. -
