   He was good, but there's a caveat.
   
   When he tours, he's generally testing out new material, which he can refine into a full hour and then turn it into a special. Bill Burr is the same way. So when you see a special, it's the most refined that act is ever gonna get, and when you see their tour, it's going to necessarily be pretty hit or miss. So Stanhope did about as good as a live tour performance is going to get. I knew to manage my expectations, and thus had a great time.

    Elbo Room in San Francisco CF? I heard the acoustics in there were horrible. too much reverberation. It's too bad too. I heard it was popular outside of that. curious if they actually closed the place down.
