First it was a reply to SpectraL, not Mr Questions. So this was an actual non-sequitur.
Second, again you are just demonstrating a basic lack of comprehension of the terms: whether it "logically follows from" something doesn't mean it's an extension of what you said or not.
A non-sequitur would be like if I said "Jones is a man therefore he is a millionaire". Jones being a man doesnt establish Jones being a millionaire, so it's a non-sequitur.
Someone saying "it doesn't have to make sense" is a perfectly coherent response to "it wasn't funny to me because it didn't make sense". He never said anything about your sense of humour, just that he didn't make the joke within that constraint. -

Yes...but I was pointing out to spectral your statement was non sequitur...he simply mirrored your non sequitance (made up word). Again he mirrored your logic...that the joke didn't have to make sense for it to be funny. When a parrot repeats what you said it's not the parrots thoughts/logic that's coming out, it's the parrot's master (or the gont that taught the parrot the word).
He basically repeated your stance...which again was non sequitur...it was still non sequitur when spectral repeated it.

Quite honestly I under use it...so many times I could use it but refrain from doing so.
