Apparently...there wasn't even an opening for it possibly referring to talking to the kids like that as the conversation specifically was about the wife who had the brain fart...might as well have thrown the milkman or mother-in-law into the "joke" too.

It didn't have to make sense. There's no rule that says a joke has to make sense.

Non sequitur...There are rules to what I personally find funny, nonsensical ones rarely qualify.

Stop it. That was funny because it was a backdoor line that you wouldnt necessarily expect yet it still fit in. And now you can make a sexual innuendo from this if you want.

Humor is one of those things that can vary from person to person, a basic level can be shared by all. It's also something that often doesn't age well.

A "joke" such as this might have slightly amused me 30yrs ago but not anymore. Again it's ok for people to have different senses of humor.

Lets not get bogged down by differing opinion simply because Jean Luc was introduced into the equation.

    I'll try not to offend.

I'm also fairly certain any child that was forced to give his dad blumpkins wouldn't find it amusing either.

Wtf i only thought the joke was funny because I thought a blumpkin was giving someone a fresh flower to smell as an act of kindness.

If I'd have known that's what you'd have thought I'd have asked you for a bouquet of blumpkins.

Elvis would only be 85 this year. I can believe it.

A conclusion or statement that does not logically follow from the previous argument or statement.

MMQ statement did not logically follow mine as I decide was does and doesn't make sense to me.

His logic was flawed..and therefore didn't follow.
