MMQ statement did not logically follow mine as I decide was does and doesn't make sense to me.

His logic was flawed..and therefore didn't follow.

Hey, cmon now. My logic is spot on every time.

For you...not for me in this instance...humor is subjective etc.

A joke for me has to somewhat make sense for me to find it funny...just the facts ma'm...and it was me and my Jean Luc we were talking about.

I have found that even though you are technically British and I am North American, you and i have the same humor receptacle. So when I find something humorous, and you dont, it's worth dissecting.

    The age gap perhaps?
I might have found it funny 20yrs ago...but like most things when you've heard similar hundreds of times over and over it's no longer funny.

    Example:

What's the difference between a man with hair and a man with no hair?

    Answer: The elephant.

As a 12yr old I might have found that funny, now I don't.

ETA: There could also be other dynamics at work, such as I'm having a bad day and lashing out like spoiled little child.

    Who knows!

No the kid joke was not nonsense though. Hrmph!!! Kids were at least mentioned in your part, unlike your elephant example where elephants weren't mentioned originally at all.
