False equivalence. Missiles don't have viral load. A more apt comparison would be having 100 nukes vs 9 ICBMs from the 1960's. I know which is less destructive and I know which I'd rather have hit my city, if we're going to be hit by missiles anyway. -

What you will not acknowledge is that it only takes a single particle (as small as 0.004 microns) to get infected, so unless you can stop every single particle, guess what? You're getting infected. -

I haven't gotten infected. I wear masks all the time.
Tech works in healthcare and hasn't gotten infected either despite working with corona patients. You know why?
She wore a mask. -

You could easily have had it already, back in December of last year or in February this year. Most people, especially the young, don't even know they had it, and yet they are testing positive for antibodies. Just because you feel you didn't get it doesn't mean you didn't get it. The mask has nothing to do with that. -

2020-07-06 at 4:12 PM UTCHey, guys. I'm really, really smart. And I've done all the homework. Thousands and thousands of hours of intensive research over thousands and thousands of topics. If I tell you something, you count on it 100% to be accurate.

Don't waste your time arguing with idiots like spectral. He doesn't actually believe the shit he spews here, he just enjoys trolling on the internet. If he wasn't trolling about this, he would be trolling about something else.

The only counter republicantz have to this is that it's fake news despite the science behind it having been around since like the 1800's. We've known for a long time that increased exposure = increased symptoms.
Hence the whole reason vaccines work without getting you sick 99% of the time. -

There are people who have had it and didn't even know they were sick who still have lung damage, even though they feel fine. And since the "immunity" only last a few months, we will see if this damage will accumulate the next time they get it, and again after that. -

Yeah this is probably going to cause an entire wave of issues that will last decades. Like with polio. Should be noted that most people who contracted polio were asymptomatic as well.
Stuff with a high mortality rate (like ebola or rabies) doesn't spread well. People get very sick and don't move around a lot. They're obviously sick so people stay away.
The most insidious and damaging diseases are ones like Covid-19, where people can spread it without knowing. -

Some of the easiest and most effective ways that we can limit the spread of COVID-19 is to practice physical distancing, wear a face-covering in public and wash hands often. It is impossible to know if you are COVID-free, asymptomatic or pre-symptomatic in the absence of a test. I encourage everyone to assume they have COVID-19 when in public and when interacting with others. By practicing these proven public health practices, we can help slow the spread of COVID-19 in our communities and protect everyone.
