Trump has claimed without evidence that “Antifa” — a loose collection of “anti-facist” activists who originally sprung up to challenge white supremacists — is responsible for the violence that sometimes took place during protests against police brutality. But there is no apparent connection to Gugino and Antifa.
Gugino’s attorney Kelly V. Zarcone told WKBW in a statement that her client is a “longtime peaceful protester and human rights advocate.” Gugino, who remains in the hospital, is a member of two nonprofits: PUSH Buffalo, which focuses on affordable housing, and Western New York Peace Center, a human rights organization. He is also part of the Catholic Worker Movement, a nonviolent group. In the OANN report, Roz claimed: “Newly released videos appear to show Gugino using a police tracker on his phone trying to scan police communications during the protest. The tactic, known as skimming, is an old trick used by antifa to locate police officers and plan violence activities, bypassing the police response.”
This is not new video, just the original video with the speed slowed down so much that waving a phone while talking to police is made to appear like a scanner. There is no evidence he is using the phone as a scanner. The slowed-down video, posted on YouTube on June 6, has already received more than 150,000 views.

You're retarded. The helmets police use do not have red labels on the back, not an exact replica Mr. Law Enforcement Specialist. And those other protesters are just picking on that poor peaceful old man for no damn reason. -

I appreciate that love, and I knew you or someone would say that, but there were only a few articles.
Let’s use common sense here though. He’s not Antifa. So if he’s not part of some organization what would jamming their scanners do for him?
Also knowing what I know, that fall was nowhere near fake, he lost his balance and couldn’t get it back. So many people his age have balance issues. Hell, my balance isn’t what it used to be.
They’re saying that he had blood coming out of his ears. IF this is true, that is 100% indicative of a basilar skull fracture. A very serious injury.
EVEN if he WAS trying to jam their equipment, did he deserve to end up with a life threatening injury? Also, police have to cater their response to each individual. A cop knows that an old man is more likely to fall, than a younger person.
IDK,
I could be wrong, but my common sense tells me I’m not. -
2020-06-10 at 3:07 AM UTCThe cop didn't even push him that hard, and to be fair you've really got to expect a shove if you get in a cop's face acting weird, especially when they're on high alert.
I suspect he tripped when he tried to steady himself. doesn't look like anyone was being particularly malicious here, just an unfortunate outcome -

Nobody deserves a life threatening injury. I've never said that. But is it normal for blood to gush out that quickly out of the ear from a fall? Like less then a second? I'm not in the medical field so I don't know at all but I assumed blood has to rupture the ear drum first to come out? Maybe not. But I do want your opinion since you know that stuff.
In the video they asked him several times to move and leave, he was the only one that didn't. Why wouldn't he move? T Instead of flailing around on them? The push from the officer was not that aggressive. Also, he was sitting up on the stretcher leaving looking on his phone so he wasn't unconscious. -

Absolutely, heads bleed like no other part of the body. I’m sure he split the skin on the back of his head instantly.I'm not in the medical field so I don't know at all but I assumed blood has to rupture the ear drum first to come out?
Yes, that is true, but the eardrum is paper thin, takes very little to rupture it. When he hit that pavement and fractured the back of his skull, the blood had nowhere else to go, all of this happens at once.In the video they asked him several times to move and leave, he was the only one that didn't. Why wouldn't he move? T Instead of flailing around on them?
I have no clue why people do what they do.The push from the officer was not that aggressive. Also, he was sitting up on the stretcher leaving looking on his phone so he wasn't unconscious.
I didn’t know there was a debate about whether he was unconscious or not.🤷♀️
Also, it seriously does not take much to knock an elderly person off balance. Cops should know this and respond accordingly. -
2020-06-10 at 3:24 AM UTCTech, I meant from the ear. He wasn't bleeding on the back of the head at all. It all came out his ear.

2020-06-10 at 3:30 AM UTCI can only go on what I know from experience and human nature. We can debate all day, but we certainly have no influence on the outcome, and it will be interesting to see.
I’m sure they are dissecting this video as much, or even more than we are.
