I went to a lawyer (a buddy) once over a real estate issue.
I got a letter from the other parties lawyer threatening legal action.
The first thing my buddy did was open a volume of the Ohio bar and look the other lawyer up.
“This guy hasn’t practiced law in Ohio in 9 years. He’s probably a friend of the family and playing golf in Florida. Just ignore it. I’ll send them a counter suite on my letter head and you’ll never hear from them again”
He was right. Law is mostly bullshit,nepotism and glad handing.
