I don't see that. They're absolutely bad people. What you're seeing is sorrow. Either because they know they're going to get punished or because they know they did something bad, but doing something bad and feeling bad about it doesn't excuse you or mean you are a good person. Good people don't do bad things to begin with, not if they can help it.
Some people are just bad. Sometimes that changes and sometimes that doesn't. Some people stay rotten their entire lives. I will say that I think most people are probably good, but those pedophiles are not among them. Downloading some CP is one thing as it's kind of passive and doesn't directly hurt children, but once you go and try to meet up with someone you can go the fuck to hell where Satan will have 72 virgin children fuck you in the ass until you die, over and over and over again because fuck you, nonce.

Obviously the term "bad person" is subjective as fuck considering you and I are just 2 people and we seemingly have pretty different opinions of it already, not to mention the 7 billion other people with their thoughts.
You even said it in your own post (I mean downloading CP is one thing) so you seemingly already can draw a line between an "acting pedo" and a "passive pedo."
Yes I know what sorrow is and yes I know how people will and can get very sad when they get caught, and apologize and play the woe is me card. I'm fully fully aware. I guess I'm just saying that in my opinion, there were some that just seemed to have the look in their eyes that said, ON TOP OF BEING SAD THEY GOT CAUGHT, that they were genuinely afflicted by their pedophilia tendencies, not dissimilar to a person being an alcoholic who feels like shit when he does something really shitty thars alcohol related. Yes, the alcoholic should try and get help, but one can still empathize or sympathize with the plight of addiction, at the very least.
Good person bad person or otherwise, it's sort of irrelevant. Like that Chris Watts guy that just up and murdered his wife and his 2 and 4-yr old daughter last year. I guess he was a bad person, but up until that point everyone around him, including his wife and kids, had nothing but good things to say about him. So I dont know if that means he was always a bad person because one day he would murder his family, or if he became a bad person the instant he did it. Or if it even matters I guess.
