KSA dropped prices to try and force Russia to comply with OPEC price fixing, Russia is just going with it because they can absorb the costs for a while and competitors like smaller OPEC countries and the US shale industry are getting hit a LOT harder because their costs are higher and volumes are lower -

And of course this has all been going on for years, Russia in the past has capitulated to OPEC’s demands multiple times, but they just happen to choose right now, in the middle of a pandemic, as the time to take a stand?

not after the biggest IPO of the century, KSA is using peoples money to bail it out in situations like this.
aramco share prices will drop, and its citizen will be encouraged / force to 'buy' its stock. -

lolyeah that's what I meant. KSA dropped prices to attack Russia, Russia price matched and said 'lol k' because they knew it was going to crash the other producers. Part of it is revenge for the US' Nord Stream dicketry, but it's unlikely they would've made the first move considering that it DOES hurt them, just not nearly as much as others
