OK, this whole fat ass models thing where they are all " sharing positivity" no bitch you're showing yourself to be the land whale you are and deleting negative comments. A 400lb woman in a sundress isn't cute, it's pretty disgusting

Sophie - the screen does work cos one time I got it working but like the dumbass I am I thought it fixed itself so I didn't bother backing up my pictures there and then. I don't think the screen is the problem, I can check later tho by trying to connect it to my TV via HDMI. What happened before it stopped working, I never used to turn it off properly, just unplugged it and let it run out of battery, which it normally did within a few minutes cos the battery is fucked. But before it stopped working, I unplugged it at night as usual and I noticed it took an unusually long time to turn off, like 45 mins+. Then the next day it didn't work.
SCronaldo, I'll take your advice once I've confirmed it's fubar'd and want to destroy the HDD.

Nah just black. It doesn't even beep or anything and I think it used to beep. They usually do? I've taken everything out and replaced it in case it was a loose connection with the ram or hdd or whatever. Tried it with and without the battery in. Nothing works.

Just a standard laptop hdd connection I guess. I don't think it's really worth taking it to a repair place, for the price it'd cost to fix it it'd probably be better value to buy a new one. Not that I have the money for a new laptop. Or to get it repaired. When I connect it to the TV do i have to press any buttons to get it to go to HDMI mode?

It's pretty crazy that's it's almost been 15 years since the US government knocked down the twin towers.

Nah, nothing. Altho the HDMI did recognise something was connected to it. I think it's just fucked. RIP. I'll give it a viking funeral at some point

If you can't get to BIOS (or can't visually confirm) there are a lot of different hardware failures that could get you there, but they're all that: hardware failure scenarios. Generally at that point diagnosis is most costly than replacement. There's a good chance the hard drive is intact so save that but most laptops aren't built to be modular, unit failure means replacing the system unless it's some specific line someone cares about LTS for

Hey Lan you're a vegetarian. Have you ever had this stuff called seitan steak soyu. I went to a vegetarian restaurant for a family member's birtday and it was actually pretty good. It has the consistency of tofu but tastes more meat like imo.

Lanny yea I thought that was it, I've tried everything I can find about it online and nada. I might ask a repair shop how much it'd cost for them just to diagnose the problem, not fix it, but even if that's more than £20 it's not really worth it. I used to have an external hdd which was actually just a laptop hdd in a case with connector, but I can't find that. I also did back up all my pictures and shit on a USB stick but I've moved a couple times since then so I have no idea where it'll be. All those things will just have to remain as memories in my head. Sucks, I liked that laptop. Served me well for 5 years tho, wasn't a bad little thing
