Recall the time when Israeli criminals were opening up shell companies in europe which only existed on paper. They changed addresses frequently, and kept opening new companies in israel. They sold their carbon emissions quota to other, legitimate companies. Once caught, the Israeli government pardoned them since they built a hospital in their local city by using the fraudulent money.

The economy is not more important than destroying the Earth. Even China is doing more for climate change than we are. Their propaganda for it is fucking intense. I was there before this pandemic in Beijing. That giant air enhancement in the city is surrounded by billboards about "pollution consultants" who I assume help people get up to code. They're cracking down hard.
They aren't doing this because they want to do good things for the Earth. They're doing it because the pollution is causing health problems and is obstructive to every day life. Have you been to India by chance? Or any first tier city in China? You can literally feel the pollution. It feels exactly like smoking a bunch of weed all day except you don't get high.
Most people don't even realize how much this impacts people's day to day life because they live in a city that actually has environmental regulations and doesn't get polluted to this level. There are a few places in the US you can go to that are fairly polluted but nothing like India/China. In a few decades Africa will probably be pretty bad off too since the Chinese are pumping so much into infrastructure there. -

Frankly I don't give a shit if she's a hypocrite. I'm not trying to be a better person than Kamala Harris. I'm concerned with their policy. Federal mask mandate is a great idea. They should be fining people $500 for not wearing a mask, then $5000 for a second violation, with third violations being punishable by prison time.
She could literally cough in people's faces and I wouldn't give a shit. Their policy is what's going to help/hurt us. Not whether or not she wears a mask.
Surprise: Most politicians are hypocrites. The sooner you learn this, the easier it'll be for you. -
