If they gave $0 to corporate interests and didn't line the coffers of friends of the Trump administration, with the total money from the last stimulus they could have given every single American adult making under 75K up to $24000, i.e. up to $2000/mo for a whole year, to ride out this pandemic.
It would have completely mitigated a vast majority of the present liquidity problems facing giant swathes of the American public.
The reason they didn't do it and would never dream of doing it is because that would basically be UBI and once people see how it literally fixes everything that has to do with our shitty inefficient government bureaucracy, it would be impossible to put that genie back in the bottle.
