If they gave $0 to corporate interests and didn't line the coffers of friends of the Trump administration, with the total money from the last stimulus they could have given every single American adult making under 75K up to $24000, i.e. up to $2000/mo for a whole year, to ride out this pandemic.
It would have completely mitigated a vast majority of the present liquidity problems facing giant swathes of the American public.
The reason they didn't do it and would never dream of doing it is because that would basically be UBI and once people see how it literally fixes everything that has to do with our shitty inefficient government bureaucracy, it would be impossible to put that genie back in the bottle.

The vast amount of the aid money earmarked for struggling Americans goes directly to filthy rich multi-billion-dollar corporations, and then those same filthy rich multi-billion-dollar corporations go ahead and lay off major sections of their staff anyways, knowing full well lots more is on the way. For real. That's the way it really is right now. 80%+ of the aid money goes directly into the pockets of corporations like Amazon, which is already up $70 billion in profits just since March. That's the reality. That's the world we all now live in. They're just like pigs at the feeding trough.

But yeah my friend Kevin he's an older guy than me he's like 48 and we were taking one of those duck bus austin tours for the hell of it because his gf does the tours but we couldn't get on her duck bus, and there was some old lady going on about how 9/11 had some really brave men and it was a total game changer for america to have men like that step up to the front lines..
my friend kev, i wouldn't consider him to a confrontational guy but he got pissed and you should of seen the look on these peoples faces because he said with so much conviction that there were was no one running into the twin towers to save people that that is a lie and that the "first responders" were actually running away in terror like little girls crying with a skinned knee
