   It's super easy to recover in 4 that's why they only have two stocks. There's a reason melee by far has the largest scene, especially for a 15 year old game.

    DD 2 good. 1 is ok but only one player. 3 is hot garbage.
    
    Little Samson, Bucky O'Hare, Darkwing Duck, Batman, Contra's, Kung Fu. If you really want to torture yourself, Ghosts n Goblins and Battletoads (one player only.)
    Nightmare of Elms street really isn't that bad nor is Ninja Turtles. Turtles 3 is much good as well.
    
    There a ton of puzzle games too. Tetris, Yoshi, Dr Mario, Palamedus.
    
    edit; Kid Icarus, Blaster Master and River City Ransom.
    
    All of those are platformers.

    I used to main Sheik and Pika for melee.
    
    Not only does 4 not have wave dashing but no ledge grabbing and just in general it's so slow.
