Originally posted by Meikai Seriously, it's been bothering me. I never use semicolons. I've gone through 30 years of life relying on hyphens, awkwardly placed periods, and overusing commas to compensate for this crippling deficiency of mine.
Here's the last two paragraphs of an article I just finished. I used a semicolon!!!!! Stepping out on a limb. I use a semicolon when it feels like there should be an mdash, but if it is two complete sentences, I use a semicolon instead. It is like the word "therefore" only softer. "Therefore" is like slamming a pin into place, while a semicolon is like dropping it into place.
Whereas propaganda is the carrot coaxing us toward disorder, censorship is the stick beating chaos into us. In contradistinction to the censors, those whose motives are unassailable and who are on the side of truth never seek to silence dissenting voices. Rather, the good guys seek debate. The aims of those like Sacha Baron Cohen, the Southern Poverty Law Center, the Anti-Defamation League, and others who actively work in the cause of censorship, are noxious to the greater good; they are guilty of a monstrous and unforgivable betrayal of Jesse and millions like him.
As someone who has experienced jail on three continents—in China, Venezuela, and the US, I know I can convince Jesse cops are pretty much the same everywhere and he should drop the absurd and toxic notion that the Kansas City police force is racist because it is descended from slave patrols. But, I can convince him only if I am allowed to talk to him. -

Factory farming is contemptible and debasing to everyone: the factory farmer has the soul of a corporation--calculating, suspicious, wasteful, callous. His kids hate him. He judges people by the vehicles they drive.
The employees are alcoholics, who gradually become more slovenly and unhygienic the longer they work there. They work in shit, make shit wages, and live in squalor. The farmer, inc., swears he can't find americans to work in shit for shit pay so he teams up with the lowest form of humanity--the immigration lawyer--and their respective lobbies convince Congress to raise the cap on cheaper humans from foreign countries, from the 5.6 billion humans living in countries poorer than Mexico. Domestic violence is through the roof. Child abuse. DWI. Incarceration. Little kids playinig in open sewers. 15 men to a trailer house. The Americans who work there never last longer than a month. They are usually two stops shy of suicide or death in a single car high speed 2:30 am crash. They are horrible workers and like the $4/hour Guatemalans and Ivory Coastians are completely indifferent to the suffering of the animals.
The consumer is insensible to the intense explosion of terror and desperation that accompanied the last moments that the flesh he is shoveling into his maw three times a day for pennies (thank you factory farmer!) actually felt. He barely looks past the cling wrap reflecting back the bright lights of the supermarket meat display; he is interested in the $/lb. He drags his fat ass and fat assed wife down to the truck stop at daybreak along I-80 somewhere in Pennsylvania and the waitress knows what they want without asking and she brings out two huge platters of scrapple (look it up) nothing else, no vegetable or grits just a huge mound of shiny meat covering both platters. Neither the man nor the woman have said a word, and they don't now. They just lean into the task at hand and begin shoveling the flesh of pigs into their guts. Shovel chew shovel chew shovel chew. When the platters are clean one of them grunts something and they waddle out. If you ask them to think about the intolerable cruelty of factory farming, their heads will sink down into the fat where their necks should be and they will glare at you with fear and hatred. They won't dare respond but in the car on the way home one of them will opine indignantly that animals aren't humans and God gave us dominion over them. They don't like all the foreigners coming in the country, but they would vote against their Congressman if he restricted immigration and the cost of their daily tub of flesh went up a nickel a pound. They have one son, serving a life term for raping and murdering a little girl down the road whose whole life of six years was filled with pain and abuse. They pretend he never existed and neither has ever actually thought about the little girl and what her last few moment were like--the explosion of terror and desperation.
This whole country is fucked. Nelsen's Rule of Post-Mortem honor: The longer you lie in state in the Capitol Rotunda, the more deeply you betrayed your country. Craig's corrolary: the more reverential the cable news anchors are while covering your funeral, the more contemptible and corrupt and vile you were as a human being.
I went to a campaign event of his in Sourth Carolina, Darlington, I think, and when he finished his little speech next to the cardboard lifesize cutout of him as a fighter pilot, with Lindsey Graham --still a congressman--sitting in the front row, staring at it and rubbing himself through his slacks, he opened it up to questions and i shot my hand in the air almost forcing him to call on me so the lady with the microphone comes over and i say, Senator McCain, you support an immigration policy that is doubling US population within the lifetimes of the children in this room (it was in a big tent, actually) even though the majority of Americans think we have enough people in this country. Will you at least say where we will stop immigration? At one billion? Two billion? Three? Never? He pulled his head down into his neck until he looked venomous. You and I, sir, he hissed, obviously have differing opinions on immigration. But if there is one thing I know, it's this. There is no room in the Republican Party for racists, bigots, or xenophobes.

Like they can still be racist, but they would just have to admit it's got nothing to do with their mangled understanding of basic genetics: they just don't like being around brown people.
Which would be fair enough if they just said it. But it's got nothing to do with science, it is about social division. They just NEED it to be wrapped in pseudoscientific baloney to swallow it.
haha, I beat your argument like it was a 14-year-old Palestinian boy in Israeli custody so you closed your eyes and put your fingers in your ears and went lalala--didn't read--like a little girl and refused to engage the actual argument like a man head to head. But here you are, you gonna sally forth and attack a "they" and "their" belief because "Because for some reason people like him don't feel validated in racism unless they can try to claim it has some scientific value." Why don't you point to something I wrote that justifies that sentence. You won't, because you can't. You wouldn't debate my actual argument, so instead you make something up ascribe it to me and then attack that.

As for your big reveal, sorry, but if I cared, I wouldn't have posted links to my actual name. The place where I post most is probably the most controversial website on the internet right now, and my screen name there is my real name: Craig Nelsen. I've taken to using Free Assange lately because the guy shouldn't be forgotten. He has more nobility in his toe fungus than your entire family has on their best day and it is an outrage that his type should be in the hands of your type. But, it's an ugly upside-down world out there.
It's funny how many message board communities have a guy like you on them. I picked you out right away. Snarky, contemptuous, resentful, bullying. Always left-wing. Their arguments are off-the-rack. They don't argue to find the strongest argument, they argue to win. So, they lack confidence in their own position and, rather than being grateful when they encounter a stronger argument, they react with extreme anger. They will try to get you banned. Or they'll try to dox you. Rather than engaging with the argument, they attack the person making the argument. Socially noxious and very damaging.
They are usually J3wish and frequently in academia (just think of the harm they are doing to our youth). So, out of curiosity, are you a J3w?
Oh, the website I was referring to was the Unz Review. One of the fastest-growing political websites and absolutely uncensored. Search for "Craig Nelsen" and you'll see hundreds, maybe thousands of my comments under my real name. You'll see comments and blog posts about me as well, And the writer Linh Dinh did a full-length interview of me, which may be worth checking out. -

I never said the communists were aggressive. Communism is just a giant head-fake to allow an alien race to divide-and-conquer (class war) and then implements the best way to obey the command in Deuteronomy 20:10-14 to enslave or genocide the world, which is exactly what the Bolsheviks did to the Russians. 66 million Christians, dude. That's Holocaust turned up to 11. And no one knows anything about it even though the genocide never let up from 20 years before Hitler, right through WWII and for years after the Third Reich was no more. Think about that. What obvious truth is screaming in your face to be recognized? As Solzhenitsyn said, the fact that no one knows anything about it proves the world's media is in the hands of the perpetrators.
Read what real demons are.
After you read this, whenever you hear the name "Diary of Anne Frank" you will laugh at the giant fraud of that comic book. When you hear the name of Nobel Prize winner Elie Weisel, you will spit with contempt for the baseness of his lies.
As for US bombs, do you really think we're bombing anyone for democracy? You think the American people voted to invade Iraq? Do you think Americans have a "democracy"? That we the people wield the power in this country? We haven't been in charge of this country in more than a hundred years.
Do you think we white people voted to become a minority in our own country?
Democracy.

Only problem with your narrative is that Trump actually is a grifter. Until people name the jedi and stop relying on Trumps there is no hope. I was talking with someone in Ukraine about the jedis who run her country (it's objectively why Ukraine is so fucked). She barely seemed aware when I started pointing out "oh yeah, he's jedi, oh yeah, isn't she jedi too, gosh jedis do seem to have a lot of money in Ukraine". She had some stories about jedis she knew, which were about what you'd expect.
It's a mystery. Even back in the 80s and 90s, the Jedi media were vicious and relentless against Donald Trump, which continued, as we all saw, up through his campaign for the presidency and his presidency itself. The New York Times blatantly said journalistic standards were suspended in the case of Trump because he was so "dangerous" he had to be gotten rid of. Just think about that. I mean, they announced the Russian collusion hoax and impeachment even before he was inaugurated. Even going back, his father owned apartment buildings in New York that were full of jedi tenants (it was anti-German bigotry from them that caused the father to change the family name to Trump from Drumpf and claim they were Swedish) and it was these tenants who absolutely refused to let blacks move into the buildings for which Trump Sr was investigated and fined by whomever. When Trump was a kid, his job was to collect the rent from these tenants. So Trump, the New York City real estate developer, knows jedis. And they never stopped attacking him--especially jedi Wall Street. Even the jedis in his own cabinet attacked him, for example, after Charlottesville, but he never said the least critical thing about jedi power or anything.
But he was popular in Israel. And I wonder whether he didn't pull off a jedi move by splitting up jedi power. Perhaps it is the only way to stay in power--or stay alive--in Washington if you aren't the designated goy (McCain, Romney, Bush, Bush, Clinton, Clinton, Biden, Obama) and absolutely dependable on the one overriding non-negotiable policy priority for the jedis. -

Here is an eyewitness description of what you've got coming:
The Red Terror in Russia 1918-1923 -
2021-03-16 at 9:26 AM UTC in What would be hell for you?In the 90s, we imported the descendants of the depraved monsters who murdered 66 million Russian Christians. Sen Frank Lautenberg of NJ got legislation passed which allowed half a million Jedi to leave the USSR and immigrate to the US or, if they chose, to Israel. Either way, the American taxpayer paid their travel expenses and gave them money to get set up here (or Israel). The children of those immigrants--native English speakers--are just now coming into their own.
What about the separation of church and state we heard so much about when Trump tried to implement the ban on entries from seven Muslim countries? How the Constitution's Establishment Clause absolutely forbids government policy that is religion-specific? Not a problem. Lautenberg's bill also imported Vietnamese Christians, and a half dozen Christian fundamentalists from Russia.
The Chosen Immigrants were able to bypass the usual refugee requirements of having to prove on a case-by-case basis they had a well-grounded fear of persecution. All they had to do was allege "anti-Semitism" to get their ticket to bypass the line. Personally, I think Russians might be forgiven for harboring some ill-will towards the largely unpunished group responsible for a real Holocaust in their country. But as far as I can tell, there was no anti-Semitism--at least, official anti-Semitism--in Russia in the 1990s.
Over half the population of Russian Jedi remained in Russia, however, because they refused to falsely claim they were victims of anti-Semitic persecution.
Hahahahahahahahaha... just kidding. -
2021-03-15 at 7:43 PM UTC in Race is a social construct
Originally posted by Joseph R. Biden Jr, 46th President of the United States of America I said I acknowledge biological differences between genetic populations. These do not map onto the concept of "race" in any way that validates categorizations like "White", "jedi", "Asian" or "Black" as meaningful biological concepts. Those are socially constructed categories that don't map well to any biological concept.
The Chinese have no cultural proscription against "staring". So, when I lived there and taught in a university out in the sticks, I was routinely stared at as I was often the first white man they had seen in person (this was in the 90s). I had a black American friend who taught at the same university I did. When we walked down the street together, the Chinese didn't know which of us to stare at first and the effect was comical with all these heads snapping back and forth coming toward us on the sidewalk. We stopped and played a game of pool one time (they had all these pool tables on the sidewalk all over the city, for some reason) and we drew such a crowd the police had to come and direct traffic. But even little kids stared at us and no one "taught" them to do that. Society didn't socially construct our racial differences. Everybody's eyes told them immediately and from a distance that Darryl and I were of two distinct races from their own.
The big question I have for the race-is-just-a-social-construct crowd isn't whether what you say you believe is true--even a six-year-old Chinese can see race is absolutely real in a biological physical sense--my question is "why"? Human history is littered with whole civilizations believing the utmost absurdities even to the point of their own extinction, and I wonder where these beliefs come from. Cui bono? -
