Maybe I'm just blackpilled but I genuinely believe that if powerful people in society hold the consensus view that your voice shouldn't be heard, they can and will reduce your options to standing on a soap box on the street corner.

>there are many alternatives to big tech Alt tech is built on big tech infrastructure, relies on big banking, etc. You basically have to have an alternative internet and an alternative society built from the ground up to support the existence of a true "alt tech". As it is, someone somewhere can always shut off the money faucet or forbid you from using their internet infrastructure (be that server hosting or the goddamned cables in the ground - none of it is public, and all these private businesses have a right to refuse service to you or a company that refuses to refuse service to you).

I gotta say that's some shoddy craftsmanship. You'd think they'd never built a gallows before. I'm genuinely embarrassed. Thing looks more likely to break a politician's leg when it collapses than it does to break their necks.

You cannot. I mean, there's no guaranteed easy way to avoid it. You can try gravol. You can try weed. You can try weed and gravol. You can try taking it with food or without. Nothing changes. Prescription antiemetics might help I guess, but if you can score a prescription antiemetic just for the sake of robotripping more comfortably you can probably score something that you'll enjoy more than bundy.
The only solution is to learn to love it. Learn to take the blows as they come. Sometimes you will puke. Sometimes you will not. Bundy giveth and bundy taketh away. The struggle of a particularly nauseous robotrip is a struggle of willpower. If you succeed, you'll be too distracted by trying not to puke to actually enjoy yourself. You will most likely fail. And you will enjoy failing. You will puke up your guts and the wave of euphoria you feel afterwards will make it all worth while. That's just how she goes.
Bundy is a harsh mistress.

We live in a (((global))) society, OP. The US involves itself to varying degrees with every nation on the planet, so every nation has an interest in US politics. I think it's especially permissible for people in South American countries, for example. If you don't want them involved in your politics, maybe get the CIA to stop getting involved in theirs.

There are building codes it's just lower. It's also very expensive to get building consent - Australian labour is a lot more expensive, but it's actually cheaper to build a house there than here.

Ok, so im about 40 hours in and it has been a grind for me :/ Tried playing a moment ago and had no motivation to move forward.
Heard the story was great, but I also heard that regarding The Witcher 3 and I got bored of that game too. Maybe im spending too much time with the side gigs?
The big issue I had was that pacing was weird. Like... a lot of the side gigs are important or interesting story and setting wise, but the main story is very much a "ticking clock" scenario. So I run into the same feeling I get playing Fallout 4 - every time I brush up against the main story, my character is desperate and wants to do things now. We are in a hurry here. Panic. Gotta fix this shit, pronto. And then you fuck around doing side gigs for 10 hours, and it's barely mentioned. Go back to the main story and OH FUCK OH FUCK THIS IS SO BAD MY CONDITION IS GETTING WORSE! and then you do another 10 hours of side gigs with nary a peep about it. Same shit as Fallout 4: "WHERE IS MY FUCKING SON?!" *spends 3 months in game building a cool settlement and exploring abandoned factories to loot duct tape*
Devs of narrative driven open world games really need to figure out that they can't have that narrative be driven by something emotional and urgent without it quickly becoming awkward when the rest of the game's structure is taken into account. Why the fuck would V ever decide to take a break from their quest to unfuck the shit that's happening to them to go track down a bunch of taxis? Get into some bareknuckle boxing matches?

Didn't you get this shitty tiny place specifically for social connections from trade conventions since it was super close to the convention center or something? As long as covid is happening it probably does make a lot of sense to move somewhere more affordable, if you aren't really reaping the only benefit you intended to reap from living there. Ye.
Could you sublet the place you're at now so you hold onto the lease for when it becomes more sensible to start living there again? I dunno how that'd work but it seems the location was advantageous and it'd suck if the world was back to normal in 6 months and you couldn't conveniently start that plan back up. Even if you couldn't move back in immediately, it'd save you from having to find a similar spot. :/

Nigga was only 49. He had a family. This is fucked up.
Not even a hip hop fan but this still hit me kinda rough. Like... I didn't know the guy, I didn't know his work, but I knew of the guy and it still cuts. Deeper than it should. F.

Is it? Maybe you get containment of the poors, but it’s not an Orwellian system where we only care about the outer party and the proles can have their destitute privacy. The panopticon demands a view of everyone, and homelessness and monitorable social programs and projects do more for us there than deregulated sprawling slums. The inner city project is kinda off the ultimate achievement of the surveillance state, it accomplishes both containment of the undesirables while keeping them firmly under control and visible to the state.
This assumes the goal is containment of the poors and not betterment of their lives, which was (perhaps naively; idealistically) my only concern. It also seems to assume that containment is only half of the goal, with control being the other. This is the wrong kind of dystopia. It's... too dystopian. All the fun dystopian fiction at least leaves the poors to their anarchic freedom.
I just want homeless people to be able to build sprawling shanty towns with 0 regard to city ordinance, city planning, or safety. Regulation is strangling the upward mobility of the homeless. We need a wild west 2.0 where the homeless can cut their teeth, earn their fortunes.

Can't make this shit up. Next it'll be a fat white retard blowing up cape canaveral because he thinks NASA is hiding the truth about Flat Earth. Never change America.
(Not that you can help changing. A failing state is bound to fail, and that change is unavoidable. Sad how America has basically become a developing nation in my lifetime.)
