   Anime is great storytelling medium. All there is to it. ≥95% of the shows that come out each season/cour are garbage. In a good season there are 1 or 2 shows which are absolutely worth watching (for whatever reason - great setting, great story, great characters, great fight choreography, great animation).
   
   Are you necessarily getting anything of value out of it? Nah. Not every live-action western TV show is The Wire or The Sopranos or whatever either. Doesn't mean the rest of TV is garbage, and you'd certainly be stupid to write off TV as a whole when those few truly great shows exist. Don't be dumb. Anime is fine. 🤷

    I'm not touching either game 90% of the time, but I gotta have 'em open. For reasons. If I close Cookie Clicker I lose 19% of my cookies per second - a complete waste. It must remain open on my second monitor for MAXIMUM EFFICIENCY. Fallen London I could quit and come back to, I guess, but keeping the tab open so I can keep track of how many actions I have available gives me comfort and warmth.

    Wariat and cocknose have the 'strongest' personalities out of all of them, but I voted for them because I suspect the strength of their personalities is a product of their artificiality. Cocknose rambles about obscure music and 2005, and wariat obsesses over gay porn. They are instantly identifiable quirks of their identities. Why do they do it? Because if they didn't, they'd be nobodies with no personalities. Who is cocknose without noise music snobbery and nostalgia for his teenage years?     Oh God. Not sure if it counts as an idle game per se, but I also started playing Fallen London. Apparently it ties into Sunless Sea, which is the main reason I checked it out. So now I constantly have two idle-y browser games open at all times. I'm losing control of my life.
