I think you're looking at this forum through a biased lense. When I got here a couple years ago there was no profound discussion going on. No grand exchange of ideas and information.
The DH people don't make threads. It's a problem when a bunch of people only reply to threads and don't make them because it creates an atmosphere more like social media and less like a forum.
I am sure you would all be perfectly fine bumping the same "what are you doing what are you thinking" threads which honestly should be locked at this point.
