So my first experience with semax was with NA-semax (ordered from ceretropic and that's all they had at the time) and it didn't do shit for me hardly. I'd read that some people just don't respond to it so I figured next I'd try just plain semax. Big difference there, recall and mathematics in particular seem to come so much easier on it, I feel like I don't even need to think my brain just get the job done. Noopept and piracetam worked, but comparatively it feels pointless. I also had success with phenylpiracetam and would consider trying it alongside semax instead of phenibut. Anyway, semax for me makes recall snappier and coupled with the ease of mind phenibut gives me life feels so much easier and carefree I guess. Only issue there is the sides phenibut has if you take larger doses which I unfortunately like. Coming down off it makes me feel like headed and tired all the time if I overdo it. Maybe cycling back and forth between that and phenylpiracetam would yield fruit but it's not something I'm super serious about so I haven't tried.
Fun fact I'm also a bit of a meathead and I regularly use Athlean-X pre-workout. Has some good stuff in it for the mind as well. For what it's worth, I can say that a combination of that, phenibut, semax, and a DARPA config tDCS session will help me grind through research trying to figure out just about anything I feel like learning.
That said, nobody should be surprised if my brain starts deteriorating or something in the next 5-10 years lol. -
2017-11-14 at 6:27 AM UTC in Nootropics + tDCS: Testing ideas are needed.Hopefully nobody frowns upon necroposting my own post here, just wanted to follow this up as I forgot I'd made it and have plenty of new info.
TL/DR footnotes: tDCS is good and noopept/piracetam are weak sauce.
Nootropics can work a treat but why bother with low octane stuff? I've found my favorite combination to be a semax nasal spray and phenibut powder taken with anything strongly caffeinated (phenibut is somewhat GABA-ergic meaning it will make you slightly drowsy) Also, of all things microdosing LSD can be REALLY good, you don't get high but you feel great. You can buy 1P-LSD freely online. Take roughly 1/10 of a tab (YMMV) and you'll be golden. But as good and time proven as LSD is, I still prefer semax and phenibut. My brain always feels on point with those two things, especially if forced into large social interactions. Responses never miss a beat and everything just "clicks".
So far as IQ goes, I don't think there would be a solid increase. I don't think IQ really increases with these but focus certainly does. Capacity doesn't mean shit if you don't have the attention span to fill it.
As for tDCS, verified effective in certain montages and new research backs that too. I mostly use the DARPA configuration and the anti-anxiety montage. Not that I get severe anxiety, but I still feel much, much better. -

This seems like a waste of time and money to me. From what I've read, alcohol solubility of various kinds are a bit of a wash with muscimol save for methanol. Even then, best case scenario you have an overpriced tincture that contains both the muscimol and ibotenic acid so you'll want to decarboxylate the latter in an acidic solution anyway. In addition, there's no telling the quality of amanitas used in this. An ineffective extract of weak caps would do absolutely nothing one way or another.
On ibotenic acid, seemingly most people just eat the caps dried and end up with ibotenic acid sides. They end up ok, but I can't see why anyone would do that to themselves when eliminating it while simultaneously upping the potency is so piss easy. -
2017-11-12 at 7:59 AM UTC in AmanitasI've taken neither DPH nor datura but by all accounts from people who've done amanitas and either/both, it's not the same at all. And in my experience, delirium really isn't a great word to describe the effects of amanitas anyway, all citations using the two words in the same sentence come from people with mostly scholarly info and no experience in the matter. Not that I'm saying "just try it, you'll love it!" by any means, merely throwing that out there for what it's worth.
eternityinabox had some good caps last time I was there, no idea what their stock is now. iamshaman may have some as well. Again, I wouldn't waste money on the pristine caps just because they're pretty. Plus, you may end up not liking it so you have to weigh cost efficiencies at some point. For the money you might prefer to just get 1P-LSD, for example. Me, I like options on hand.
As for use in sleep, muscimol is a GABA analog. A smaller dose will pretty much just put you to sleep after feeling a little numb. Again, it's a bit like being drunk but you sleep harder. In fact amanitas are fairly unique (but not totally) in that they can cross the blood-brain barrier and bind to the GABA receptors directly, suppressing the CNS. GABA intake itself won't do that and melatonin takes a bit more time to convert existing aminos from stimulants to suppressants (GABA).
However, if melatonin is interesting to you, I might recommend looking into red reishi mushrooms and possibly even wormwood. They're totally different in how they act, but they both seem to have a slight impact on my dreams. Red reishi naturally raises melatonin levels which then of course increases GABA. Wormwood actually inhibits GABA receptors but if you're already tired it doesn't seem to stop a person from falling asleep. Perhaps the GABA inhibition is why people seem to dream more vividly on the stuff. I could go on about that subject for ages, having experimented with different teas and tincture combinations before bed while keeping a dream journal.

The post above you explains it kind of. Once you get the sweet spot dose down, it's simply a relaxing item. Guarantees amazing sleep and is good for recalling old memories you might not even realize you still have. Thoughts sort of just daisy chain into each other in a way nothing else I've tried seems to accomplish. Granted, my example was a bit overdramatic with the side effects. If anything, the worst part is that it invariably makes you go to sleep. I've found that if you wake up shortly after, you can tend to enjoy the effects conscious again for awhile. -
2017-11-11 at 10:02 PM UTC in AmanitasIt's hard to describe, but the body high is kind of like being drunker than you can possibly get drunk because there's no alcohol poisoning involved and the mood lift is pretty neat. More than that, though, the mind seems to start thinking faster than should be possible, almost like the subconscious surfaces up to think alongside the conscious mind. For me, memory recall of even the most remote memory becomes a breeze. One thing I noticed as well was that I could recall dreams I normally only think to recall if I'm actually dreaming. That's pretty strange.
I actually had one of my most profound experiences doing amanitas of all things when I was experimenting with extraction and doses. I based a lot of my first batch on PsychedSubstances and was expecting a similar high and low potency. Well, I fucked up and pretty much sent myself into a temporary coma and... best way to describe it was that before I passed out I knew my mind was going to complete shit but then when I passed out it was total clarity. But I only had my thoughts, there was no imagery typical of a dream. I knew I had taken amanitas and then I started thinking and somehow got trapped in a thought process I couldn't break out of, like my subconscious became my primary consciousness and all I could do was think super fast and calculate things. Then I thought I fucked up and eventually reached some kind of answer to the nature of the universe and that answer had trapped me in this thought cycle I was stuck in for apparently hours.
Eventually I shook myself out of it and it was 4:26 in the morning. I remember the time because being able to open my eyes and be a normal human being again instead of a supercomputer seemed like a miracle at the time. I was still so high that I tried typing some things out on my computer but my hands were tweaking out like crazy.
It's not for everyone, but I doubt anyone would get bored if they had good stuff. -
2017-11-11 at 9:39 PM UTC in AmanitasAmanitas are in my experience: underrated, misunderstood, and often improperly used for a multitude of reasons.
The biggest barrier to entry is finding good ones. I got into these mushrooms having found a local variety in the woods and ended up having amazing experiences with them. Subsequently, when my supply ran out I looked to the internet for more with the mushrooms to try out and ended up with a bunch of bullshit. It's no wonder so many people dismiss amanitas when they end up with product that doesn't do a fucking thing or barely gets you to the beginning level of the high.
Let's get this out of the way first: If you've tried amanitas and you didn't start having weird muscle spasms, short term memory all fucked up and life flash framing around you, then a comatose-like sleep where you couldn't feel anything... then you didn't get high and your mushrooms were shit. Amanitas will get you HIGH. Legally and safely.
"But Psychlonic, I've heard the ibotenic acid in them is bad for you and makes you nauseous."
We'll get to that, but first you need quality mushrooms. From my experience, everything you find online from eastern European countries is bullshit. The only good ones I found came from the Pacific Northwest, US. Washington amanitas are pretty common online, I recommend you look for them. It doesn't matter how pretty the caps are, but get caps not a bunch of stems.
For those of you who want to look in your local woods, you probably already know the dangers of destroying angels and death caps that are part of the amanita family. There's too much to go over here to try to teach you how to safely select amanitas, but here is some quick tips:
- Destroying angels and death caps look absolutely nothing like psychoactive amanitas. When you can identify a member of the amanita family, knowing the poisonous ones is easier than learning all of the psychoactive ones.
- There is a test to determine if your mushroom will kill you, look up what's called the "Wieland-Meixner" test.
- Contrary to widespread belief, there is a cure for amatoxin poisoning if you fuck up: silibinin, an extract of milk thistle. This coupled with aggressive hydration will save your life. In a pinch, down obscene amounts of milk thistle.
It shouldn't come to that last option though if you follow the first tip. Or just buy online. Again, get the Washington caps don't get that eastern Europe bullshit it's a waste of your time.
And it will be a waste of your time, because to enjoy amanitas to their fullest, you need to process them. Ibotenic acid decarboxylates into muscimol - the fun stuff - when heated to around 170 degrees in an acidic environment. Simply, fill a ceramic pot with caps, add lemon juice which should have a pH of around 2 until they cover the caps, and heat on low for 3 hours.
enhancement out as much of the juice as you possibly can afterward. That juice is what will get you high. I recommend making large batches and testing the potency of your resulting liquid, each batch will be different. Gram for gram they're not as potent as psilocybes so taking more than 10g cap equivalent of the juice is expected. I crudely just measure in shotglasses how much it takes for me. With a good product, it only takes me 2 shots to feel the effects pretty damn good and 3 shots to completely fuck myself up. 1 shot I can function in public without any problems and almost acts in a nootropic kind of way.
I made this topic to promote something I enjoy quite a bit. Amanitas are actually pretty safe and can even be good for you if taken in responsible doses and frequency. Yet, I typically just see posts about how they're potentially dangerous, can kill you, make you vomit, etc. or that they just do almost nothing and aren't that exciting. Questions, comments, and death threats welcome. -

2017-11-09 at 5:20 AM UTC in Night Ops - New Guy (TransHuman Edition)Expanding upon some of the routes I had caught Xanatos up on prior during the 'Stroll', we decided on checking out some targets south from where we were at before. This time we'd be doing a full operation just to set the mood and keep ourselves busy.
I drove us near the edge of the area of operations where we'd fully gear up and move out toward the target. Our objective? A duo of rural building clusters in the middle of some open fields. For the operation I'd be wearing my old school subdued digital MARPAT since my multicam had failed on the last outing. No special gear to make note of really, just a good mega folder knife and a small flashlight.
At about 0200 we began to move toward the AO. As there was a house somewhat near the parking area, we moved north with haste along a road until I felt we could comfortably cross the barbed wire fence alongside of us without rousing suspicion. Afterward, we cut inward toward the field to create a buffer of space between us and anyone else who might drive by along the road. This would enable us to lay down and face them, making us practically invisible. Terrain was mostly dead grasses, rocks, and potholes. The moon was out bright so visibility was excellent in lieu of any artificial lighting.
Almost exactly a mile later we found ourselves near the first cluster of buildings so Xanatos and I began to move toward the road again as we were in fields on the opposite side. Once we neared the fence, we both found our own crossing points, leaped over, jogged across the road, then crossed the fence on the other side. This put us at the top of a small slope that went down into the field proper where there seemed to be some wetlands we'd have to navigate. As for the buildings themselves, we couldn't tell for sure but one seemed like it may have been occupied so we carefully encompassed the cluster, circling from the left. This brought us behind some of the buildings and gave us an opportunity to look around and assess the situation.
We decided to enter the first large building in the far back and look around. This building, like the others, was entirely wooden and this one was very open with a large first floor and a second floor that wrapped around against the wall. Actually, I know what kind of building this was but I can't tell you for PERSEC reasons. Anyway, we looked around for anything of interest but there really wasn't a whole lot. After we both explored the first floor, Xanatos decided to climb up to the second floor which required literally climbing up the wooden walls and posts. I would have joined, but not being used to my new-at-the-time weight I didn't want to cause a ton of noise stressing the wooden floors up there. Keep in mind I was something like 85 pounds heavier than Xanatos. Instead, I opted to post as lookout below for anything suspicious. Nothing, other than cattle noticing our presence in the adjacent field and drawing closer.
Once Xanatos returned back down to my level after having a look around, we left the building and decided to next visit other huge building in the northern-most area of the cluster. This building was designed nearly identical to the first building with a huge open first floor and a wrap-around second floor. There were also more rooms below, which we both checked out. One room contained refrigerators, lamps, and boxes of various "medical" instruments. Interesting. I made note of the room then resumed looking around. Once again, Xanatos climbed to the second floor while I posted lookout below. More nothingness. He came back down, we left making sure the door was shut the way we found it on the way out.
The remaining few outbuildings were extremely uneventful. After establishing that the suspicious building we thought might have been occupied was in fact empty, we decided to return back to the other side of the road into the rocky fields. The route we took was similar although not quite the same one, and soon enough we were back out in the middle of moonlight and emptiness, headed south again toward the next cluster of buildings. Having some prior knowledge of the general layout of the area, I explained that we'd eventually come across an old dirt/gravel road somewhere that would lead east toward the second cluster of buildings. A half, maybe three quarters of a mile later we found it and followed it back to the fence near the road. On our side was still barbed wire, but this time on the other side it was a wooden pole fence. Easy mode. We both crossed the barbed wire, trotted up to the wooden fence and simply climbed over.
We moved down another slope into the fields, trying to stay far enough away from the cluster so they couldn't see or hear us in the darkness because this one for SURE had occupied buildings. Eventually, we reached a gravel road cutting across the property with more wooden pole fences on either side. There was also what appeared to be dead and dried thistle plants on the ground nearby which were painfully loud to step on. Avoiding these, we crossed the first fence and found ourselves on the gravel road. In front of us, the road led into the cluster, there were a pair of buildings to our left, one big and one small. To our immediate right, a tunnel with a tractor inside of it. Further right attached to the tunnel, the backside of another out building and a small covered parking space. We began to move into the tunnel but the noise was unbearably loud from the gravel echoing everywhere. It was definitely within earshot of the occupied building so I didn't want to press it. Instead, we slowly moved along the outside of the tunnel along the gravel road, looking for anything of interest or alternate routes. Unfortunately, the cluster was extremely lit up and not having a good sense of what was around us, we decided to pull back from that way and return to where we had crossed the last wooden pole fence.
We slide under the next wooden pole fence on the other side of the road and moved into the shadows here. The idea here was to see if we couldn't access the largest building in front of us, which looked similar to the larger buildings from the last cluster we were at. This was a shit show of trying to climb over metal panel fencing that make a ruckus if you moved wrong on them, then treading more dead, loud weeds of some kind. While they provided good cover visually, the sound was paranoia inducing. We tried to enter through a side door but it just wouldn't open without making a huge amount of noise, so instead Xanatos circled around to a large sliding back door and began to see if he couldn't open it. It was latched shut somehow so he began to try to free it using his knife to manipulate. Unfortunately, we were running out of time. The operation had taken so much time trying to move safely, cover ground, and explore it was going to be daylight soon. It was time to pull back for now, we'd be back later.
Retracing our infiltration route backwards, we swiftly but quietly as possible moved back into the rocky fields and began moving at a quick pace toward our extraction vehicle. The sky was getting brighter and brighter, while the damn terrain made it difficult to move quickly in without feet and ankles taking a pounding, but you didn't want to be caught out here so we moved fast anyway. Eventually we got back to where I had parked, downgraded our gear enough to be passably civilian when driving by people, then we returned to base. It was sunrise as we arrived, not a moment too soon!
Some Google Earth searching of the property we were on revealed something pretty interesting - there was a third cluster of buildings I hadn't noticed! We planned on taking some improved routes, checking the third cluster, and fully exploring the second cluster then called it a night... morning... whatever. We'd be heading back again soon to finish what we started, either way! Till then. -

2016-06-29 at 7:23 AM UTC in Nig Ops I Nigs@Nite EditionI still stick my nose in here from time to time, it's good to see people are still interested in night ops!
The drops do work noticeably especially on a moonlit night but they're relatively expensive for most people and apart from the wow factor they're not very necessary. Most of my experiments kind of bleed into night ops as it's an interest of mine but usually that's not primarily what they're for. Electronic night vision is similarly just a straight hassle and a waste to carry/wear. All of the best, most fun things you can possibly do don't require anything but dark clothes, gloves, and a mask I've always thought.
Any of you guys been up to anything exciting lately in this?

2015-12-27 at 1:04 AM UTC in Biomagnet Implantation, Healing, and UsageFrom reports, a few guys with the procedure done have successfully undergone MRIs. Initially it's easy to think they'd rip out of the skin and fly into the machine fucking both of you up but it seems that's not what actually happens. Instead, users wrote that the magnet simply vibrated intensely causing their whole hand to feel like it was buzzing. Probably sensitivity of the magnet was lost too. Users have also reported that you can walk through metal detectors without incident. The magnets are only 1x3mm and despite being neodymium are not that powerful once embedded. I can barely lift 2 paperclips daisy chained with mine, for example. It's just enough to get unsettled by a magnetic field and try to align with it.
Electronic handheld devices don't bother me at all. You can feel the inner workings going on when your fingers are in the right positions but it's nothing severe. As a side note on functionality, I don't treat mine nicely at all. I cut, split, and stack firewood, perform heaps of manual labor, lift weights, exercise, and shoot firearms all without the magnets getting damaged or interfering. The only time they cut into my ordinary life is if an especially strong field comes close to me, it'll startle me a bit.
I decided from the beginning that if they interfered with my life I'd just remove them or let them reject on their own. So far it hasn't been a problem. Most users place theirs on the outside of their ring finger under the belief that if something happens and the finger basically rots (AFAIK this has never actually happened), it's the least important finger on the hand. I went with the inside of left pinky and the outside (side toward the pinky) of my index finger because they seemed the locations least likely to suffer impacts in my day to day life. I also have two and spread out as to somewhat stereoscopically pinpoint the magnetic sources I feel. -
2015-12-23 at 7:02 AM UTC in Biomagnet Implantation, Healing, and Usage
I'd be pissed if I wrote this whole thing and no one replied, does this have any actual use other than feeling the vibrating electrical fields?
It's cross-posted, I realize this is a low traffic community currently and of low interest but figured a few people might find the content interesting even if they don't want to do the procedure themselves.
As for purposes, admittedly few. One neat trick though is that you can swipe your hand across the top of certain doorways and detect magnetic switches on the other side. It's not a super impressive feat, though. There are also some other applications being built specifically for people who have them implanted but as far as I'm concerned they're all novelties right now.
A much more interesting and useful magnetic implant is in the tragus of the ear. Cylindrical implants here can be used in conjunction with a hidden coil to wirelessly and invisibly listen to audio. This can also be done with the finger implant technically - if the coil is powered you can hear audio by sticking your finger into your ear, but again this is pretty pointless. I'd enjoy messing with the tragus implant, but the procedure is too awkward to do on myself and there's nobody near me I'd even bother asking to do it for me. -
2015-11-24 at 2:51 AM UTC in Project Euryphaessa - Stage OneThere can be a bit of a difference. Any insulin will work but the dynamics are different between different types. Generally insulins are categorized by onset, peak time and total duration. Some are also categorized by how they're meant to be injected but that's not important for this. The vast majority of insulins are simply regular human insulin. More information here:
http://dtc[dot]ucsf.edu/types-of-diabetes/type2/treatment-of-type-2-diabetes/medications-and-therapies/type-2-insulin-rx/types-of-insulin/
TL/DR version: If there's no mention of intermediate acting or long acting, you're fine. And while it may seem tempting to have long lasting effects, you have to remember that the Ce6 will completely cycle through anyway and any absorbed insulin left will not be helpful at all. -
2015-11-18 at 3:25 PM UTC in Project Euryphaessa - Stage OneKeep in mind that the insulin will be quite diluted in the solution, the drops should NOT sting upon contact. They are mildly irritating but that's also considering you have to keep your eye from blinking the solution out while you wait for them to absorb. They shouldn't burn, itch, or otherwise feel like anything other than cool liquid on your eyeball when administering.

2015-11-06 at 4:56 PM UTC in Nootropics + tDCS: Testing ideas are needed.tDCS took some time to literally "buy into" but the idea appears to have originated away from the consumer market and instead took place in various studies with some seemingly positive results including from DARPA although digging into this claim would be interesting since whenever I see the acronym I wonder if it's even true. The price to find out if this is bullshit ran me about $100. 100 bones is 100 bones so even though the cost is relatively low I'll be pretty disappointed if I don't experience results from it. Like nootropics though, there appears to be enough anecdotes out there to convince me it's at least worth trying. I'll report whatever happens or doesn't happen when it comes in and I give it a spin.
Does this stuff actually work?
That's the big question. From what I've read and my experience with supposed nootropics like caffeine and l-theanine in various beverage forms, the mind can absolutely be amped up. Using these as an experience, I am expecting the supposedly more potent nootropics to bring out more of what's already up there. Sensationalist headlines always say crap about how they will make you smarter but I think they really just bring out your potential. Personally if I'm crunching on something and really want to focus and be on my A-game I slam caffeine. I know for a fact by now that it helps me a lot and I fall into the zone where I can solve problems and be creative. It's also a plus if the situation is also physical.
As for plasticity I have no idea. I'll be happy with just focus and already don't have too much trouble picking up on new things so I'm afraid judging this will be pretty difficult. Maybe I should try to force myself into learning some things I would otherwise have little interest in as a way to personally decide whether a difference is being made?
Regardless I'll let you know how it goes. I spent a significant amount of time last night reading about the various nootropics out there and their best potential stacks and have a good idea where I want to go with my own when they come in.
-
2015-11-05 at 11:55 PM UTC in Nootropics + tDCS: Testing ideas are needed.I've got some items on order - a tDCS kit with 3x3 wet sponges, Noopept, and Piracetam. I've ordered both of the nootropics as I've heard on multiple sites that sometimes one doesn't work and when that is the case, the other usually does. In addition I've also got some choline to stack with the nootropics.
But how do I know it's working?
This is what I want to test. Sure I might "feel" more focused but how can I know it's not placebo effect? I can already focus well and concentrate on tasks, and I have great reflexes but I want to see if this can be pushed further. I've considered IQ tests but my score could likely vary by a few points day by day and if I were to steadily take tests then I would naturally improve as time went on anyhow just from the practice so I'm unsure if this can be a reliable indicator of anything. It might be possible to judge reflexes somehow.
Anyways, anyone have any terribly clever ideas to try? -

You're going to go blind from this.
Alright, thanks for the heads up.what the fuck is going on here? can you give me a tldr?
A form of night vision drops, basically. NV via light amplification at night, no spectrum shift. Spectrum shifts will be discussed in future experiments.
