Well yeah. I didn't start out with heroin or needles, it took years to get to that point, and I'd say declining into homelessness was definitely progressive dysfunction. I've been using drugs since I was 14, and it got more and more extreme through the years. I don't buy into the 12-step approach, though. Doesn't work for me, and the whole "I'm powerless," and "If left to my own devices, it's only a matter of time," just become self-fulfilling prophecies.The following users say it would be alright if the author of this post didn't die in a fire! -
