If he'd asked for $1000 and these women said they felt like they were being pressured to pay him to advance their careers, and they paid him, would you say "well they consented"? They may have consented, but the situation is still morally kind of fucked.
Except, this 'power thing' is only in the person's head and not based in any real reality. He NEVER offered career advancement for sex.
If he offered 1k to advance their careers it would have been clear abuse because he is consciously making an offer so that he can benefit. Asking somebody if you can masturbate in front of them is not at all the same thing.
At what point do you decide that the power balance is so strong that people can't possibly have consensual sex? These woman needed to be stronger and say no.
