I think it's cos you're so social and so sexual. You hit up girls constantly, and cause constant drama, which people love, even though they pretend not to, everyone is amused by and drawn to drama. Just because you can figure it out doesn't mean most people can. And most of us are too busy to spend all day reading up on fittings. Plus if you have a leak you need to get it fixed quickly.
And then there's businesses and industry, which is generally easier money than dealing with residential customers.
