We're in one of those stupid moments in history. We don't even have any really interesting new tech anymore - besides the deep learning shit. It's all dumb the whole way down.

Opportunity cost - lost profits, is one of the main ways jedi economists use to justify mass immigration, as well as to justify increasing indebtedness of western nations.

"oy vey you're letting all this money go missing...how will you repay your national debt now?"

You can tell the argument is disingenuous, as they propose the exact opposite policies for Israel.

Ultimately the economy exists to serve humans, not the other way around.

Depends on the workplace culture. The place I'm working right now is heavily female, and has a feminine culture, so I'd apologise and open the door.

A manly workplace would result in all the lads laughing and taking another swig of whiskey and lighting their cigars while congratulating you.

In France at a place someone in my family owns but doesn't live at an owl would perch beside the house every evening and give me ugly looks.

It was out in the country side, and of course wine is so cheap out there that I'd be drunk every single day, so it was kinda intimidating.

Line of credit - but at what rate?

    Don't be a subprime negroe.

Lawyering is very complex, and crucially, very consequence free. For instance if your lawyer incorrectly believes that the law is different than it, then is there is very little you, as a client, can do. It's one of those fields that is full of allowances and indulgences for its practitioners abject stupidity and incompetence.

I don't even own consoles, I have a toight little gaming PC, but you are not PC Master race by any means..you play games with graphics and mechanics that predate Atari so come off your shit already.

Things should last. My XBox 360 already Red Ringed of Deathed and had to be repaired/replaced (I'm not sure which was done).

Ideally I'd like to still be playing Skyrim and Deus Ex: Human Revolution on it in 50 years time. TBH I doubt I'll last that long, but still.

    It's pride month.

Time for everyone to show tolerance and love to LGBTQP people.

I didn't notice anything wrong, and don't see any media on an outage.

Vodafone was down across half of Europe during peak business hours last week, which was shit. That makes me nervous, as we're working remotely right now and we need mobile broadband this week at work. If it goes out it'll be a clusterfuck - and my ass will be the orifice getting all the attention.

It seems to be soft tissue. Which is better, to walk more, and toughen up the tissue, or to walk less, and give the tissue time to recover?

He has a fresh perspective on things and is fairly intelligent.

And yeah, we get your schtick:

Anyway, now I know I only need to save 5000 pesos for retirement. Thanks Ghost.

One of my friends assumed that when 4G came out his computer (which was a Pentium 4 Dell I sold him for something .fairly nominal) would become faster.

I gave him a nice IBM ThinkPad with a nice little SSD a little later. He traded it with some negress for sex.

No matter what, no matter where you are, during peak hours speeds don't exceed 10mbps.

It seems like as time goes on speeds actually decrease. I remember getting 50mbps when the tech was new. I guess it's network congestion.

And the coverage is shit. You can't rely on fast internet when on the bus or in the gym or anything.

I bought a 4G router and 18 month plan recently. I'm looking to return it because it's just so terrible. Slow and shitty.

Functionally 4G is only marginally better than 3G.

Maybe 5G will be better - but don't get your hopes up.

Photoshop is magic when used right. A pile of rubble becomes a grassy verge. Shit becomes concrete. Rust becomes shadows.

It's also satisfying seeing my photoshopping still being used IRL.

    And it's good photoshopping too.
