   It's actually a true story. people suffered a lot from skin infections and sores. those canopy beds were designed not to keep mosquitoes out as much as insects feeding on their lesions often on the skin of people. especially who didn't shower daily. they thought it was unhealthy to do so.

    you can't surf specific dates that are claimed to not have been crawled. but you can click on the back pages and come across dates around jun-august up to september then the page was clearly edited. Not redacted and shows a line but redacted that they deleted out the message without it saying "deleted by mod". probably rewritten and placed back in.
    
    I have seen pages get pulled in real time some years back. Someone who harrassed me on another site told me he knew this brewster guy from Palo Alto (Stanford area?)
