the way they have EGR bullshit in modern vehicles that nastiness eventually accumulates and turns various parts of the engine into a sludge fest. i learned this lesson on my first long-term car. since adopting the 'change oil when it gets dirty' policy, i havent had the problem since.

EGR was a hightech contraption from more than 30years ago, i'm not sure they are still a staple of modern cars but i remember i stop seeing that pipe that came out from the exhaust manifold into the carb when they begin injecting fuels.
