Wow, this is really a sad way to go through life. Essentially a pre-programmed robot operating from a “well established internal rule book” with zero ability to think for yourself or apparently even recognize you’re not thinking for yourself. Who exactly programmed you?
Better yet, who “programmed” me? I grew up in the foster care system…spent time in no less than ten different households and two group homes moving around from school to school by the age of 18, “indoctrinated” by adults whose “rule books” were no more similar to each other than apples are to oranges.
I was pretty young when I realized that I never have to let someone else tell me how or what to think. Growing old is mandatory. Growing up is apparently optional for some. If we had to earn our age by thinking for ourselves at least once a year, based on your philosophy only a handful of people would reach adulthood.
Personally one of the most remarkable things about growing-up was looking back at something I thought I knew and finding out the truth of it was completely different from what some idiot had tried to teach me to believe. Domo arigato, Mr. Roboto.
