question about nas hard drive
Could a nas hard drive running 24/7 last more than a decade.
Like, I have a nas with 4 6tb hard drives if I'm playing video files from the nas nonstop could the drives last a decade?
Should I go for a raid mode?
Right now I just have all the drives pooled together to form one large virtual drive

Goodbye
Well today I woke up feeling totally out of it
The nonstop marijuana use and having drank so much lately it's starting to take its tole on my mental state.
I am quitting alcohol
And I'm also making some changes in my life
For example I'm not going to waste all my time browsing the web anymore and I won't be going to websites that are just adding to my mental decline.
I will be pursuing various projects some for fun others monetary
This is a farewell and a wave goodbye
You might hear from me in the future
I would be a stoner hiki shoujo with a ton of cats and assault rifles and I would be in a romantic relationship with my brother
We would play jrpgs all day and then make love
Then we would go on to be serial killers
Maybe in the next life
What I'm suggesting is that all of you and myself start creating web 1.0 style websites and revive the feeling of the old net.
This could be a new thing, an internet where only people who truly wish to be there are.
A net separate from the mainstream network of planet earth.
Since the bandwidth would be pretty small due to the nature of the content maybe it would be possible to start a network totally separate from the internet and build our own infrastructure.
Maybe in a few years there will be an easy and mostly affordable way to build our own internet.
We could have a web, mail server, p2p etc
In fact I might go on to produce anime someday
