The short version is that in several US states, you can log into online vote systems using only a person's name and date of birth, and from there you can update their personal information such as address and party affiliation. With the sheer amount of personal information people make public online, it'd be entirely possible to scrape enough sets of details (basically just name and DOB) to cause havoc in swing states… And that's not even considering data aggregators like Pipl, i360 and whatever else.

This is flagrantly untrue and it's clear you don't understand American taxes at all, Australian. Amazon didn't pay taxes because while Trump removed many deductions for average Americans, corporations got an increase on this. Amazon was able to take advantage by doing what they always did, and dumping everything into expansion so that they technically operate at a 'loss'. But most businesses cannot afford to expand like this, which is ironic because it means that they make less money and pay more in taxes despite being in the same tax bracket. Right now that tax is 21%. It was 35% for over 30 years before Trump and more like 40-50% when the economy was actually good in the 50's and 60's.
It absolutely can get lower and more fucked up. Amazon got away with zero tax. We don't want other corporations to start doing the same.
Absolutely baffling that any American can look at this shit and cheer it on. Trump paid no income tax for 11 of the last 18 years. He is settling with the IRS and has had to settle before to pay his taxes.
