you mean the hole W inherited, than created war and stim packs to boost the econ while a new econ took over for greenspan?

every time a econ retires or is newly elected, the economy dives.

that is not the presidents fault.

now that he is ultra wealthy, he does not need any more.
to now threaten him with a 50% tax, would guarantee a hike in the unemployed category.

i always said, especially concerning my uncle's businesses, if you tax him to where he loses 50%, why would he care about continuing to keep his businesses running?

    example:
you are an x-ray tech who has potential to make an easy 150k or more per year.
our 32% tax rate compared to my uncles 50% does not equate to being fair.

is it fair you and i work and have what we have while my uncle worked and has more?

if you go back to taxing the wealthy, they will stop giving me raises!!

if i was a criminal, and i wanted to rob someone, this would be a perfect thing to get rid of a homes weapons, so i could be safe when robbing the home!!

ironically though, several police officers have already "opposed" this law, claiming to not obey it by removing anyone's weapons.

this could be the doorway to the modern day "Civil War" i've been claiming is a real possibility!!

Anyone Familiar with the New Democratic "Red Flag" Law passed in 14 states?

    is the thread title
  13. iam_asiam68 African Astronaut
this is who proposed these laws

Sen. Richard Blumenthal introduced such legislation in March 2018, in the 115th U.S. Congress;[1] and Dianne Feinstein introduced such legislation in February 2019, in the 116th U.S. Congress.[2] The House version of her legislation was introduced by Rep. Salud Carbajal and re-introduced on 14 February 2019.

did Trump actually back it, when he refused to send it to the Senate to be enforced?

as a machinist, when the years go by, the on job experience in my industry is like furthering your education.

i never got a raise under obama.

since Trump has been in office, i have increased my salary literally 30%

why would i want to put an end to that because the president is a worthless human being?
  15. iam_asiam68 African Astronaut
why would i cut off the hand that has been good for me?
  16. iam_asiam68 African Astronaut
we know Trump is a pos but my industry, the farmers here, the local industry, the state economy are booming off the hook.

why remove Trump and go back to how it was under Obama where i did not get my raises for his 8 years in office?
  17. iam_asiam68 African Astronaut
i just don't see where the Red States are backing this yet?

    since 2018:

Vermont,[18] Maryland,[19] Rhode Island,[20] New Jersey,[21] Delaware,[22] Massachusetts,[23] Illinois,[24] and the District of Columbia.[25] In 2019, New York enacted a red-flag law as part of a broader package of gun-control legislation that overwhelmingly passed the state legislature.[26][27] In addition to allowing police and family members to petition for entry of an extreme risk protection order,[26][27] the law also allows teachers and school administrations to file such petitions, making New York the first state to include such a provision.[28] Three other states have also enacted red-flag laws so far in 2019: Colorado,[29] Nevada,[30] and Hawaii.[31]

    majority Democrat
  19. iam_asiam68 African Astronaut
several states had this in place since 1999.

Orders issued under "red flag" laws, also called risk-based gun removal laws,[7] are known by several names, including Extreme Risk Protection Orders (ERPOs) (in Oregon, Washington, Maryland, and Vermont); Risk Protection Orders (in Florida); Gun Violence Restraining Orders (GVROs) (in California); risk warrants (in Connecticut); and Proceedings for the Seizure and Retention of a Firearm (in Indiana)

indiana passed this when democrat evan bayh was governor

but all those original states are Left and Florida is 50/50

i think many states were passing this one way or another like legalizing hemp.
