The symptoms were exactly the same as when I had rhabdo earlier this year, so I assumed it was the same thing
Apparently I had something ICU-worthy though because that's where I woke up, and somehow they knew it was intentional. I probably blacked out and told them like a jackass, and that got me a two-week stay in the cuckoo's nest
I was laying down listening to music on the 22nd when I heard a knock on the door followed by "police, we're just coming to check on you" (Supposedly they had already sent both family and maintenance up there to check on me but got no response. I have no idea who told on me)
I got up, ran into the living room where they had already opened the door, started explaining to them that I was fine, I was just drinking and hit my head but I passed out and woke up ICU'd
I would've came back sooner but I got thrown in the mental hospital and just got out
Two weeks in the hospital also forced me to withdraw from everything I was taking at one time. That fucking sucked, but maybe it will help in the long run
They put me on Zoloft. As much as I hate the idea of being on SSRIs, I appear to be out of options. It doesn't make me feel any better but it does make everything seem less "intense"
Maybe that means I'll be able to go outside and actually do something once in a while without getting drunk
I've also been totally disarmed. Despite the fact that i could've blasted myself at any time during that whole thing, the family still saw fit to go through the place and take all the guns
And now I'm not even sure if I can buy another one because I've been involuntarily committed to a psych ward
Looks like my fun with firearms might be over
I still have my job thankfully, and had enough vacation time to keep the bills paid, though it was close. -

Casper would you please embrace your size? It’s fun being tall. I know I’m not as tall as you, but compared to most women I am. But they sure are “makin em bigger nowadays”! I used to walk kinda hunched over, I could just see you doing that, stop it🛑. There are more advantages to being tall than being short.
I know, one thing at a time, it’ll come.
Yeah I'm not trying to be a whiner just everything is harder when your tall and overweight too. I'd gladly chop off 8 inches and just be 6" even. Clothes are hard to find and uncomfortable. My hands are too big and dexterity stuff is hard to do. Blah. I was doing the same beginner exercise like 12 times in a row, and even when I remembered exactly where to put my fingers without looking down, my fingers would be crowding the other strings and it sounded like a marble in a tuna can.
I just did see that my capo came in the mail though, so that's cool. Means in some songs I don't have to do as much dexterous stuff.
If you put it on 2nd fret, and play like a d chord on the 4th, then Em, Am...sounds like cranberries "dreams". ALMOST SOUNDS LIKE YOURE PLAYING A REAL SONG.
And yeah I always walk hunched over and now my posture is just fucked. Partly it was bc my back hurt, and partly because it would de-accentuate my bitch tits but now I just look like I have scoliosis or spinabifida or some shit. Lol. -

Didn’t you mention trying to learn the guitar? I bet that would be soothing for your soul. Have you ever played the guitar?
No. Its fucking embarassing.I always wanted to but it was too hard. I used to sing pretty okay too, but always had to have people help me write out the music. Of course now my voice is burnt out and scratchy too. So i bought a nice looking guitar off Amazon, and ive been trying to just do a little each day. I started listening to a lot of country and folk again, and i just love the sound of a Martin, but it was obviously a bad choice to buy a $2000 guitar to learn on when i might just fuck up again. This is the one i bought:
https://www.amazon.com/Yamaha-FG830-Solid-Acoustic-Guitar/dp/B07HJJD5HK/ref=sr_1_31_sspa?keywords=yamaha%2Bacoustic&qid=1559820503&s=musical-instruments&sr=1-31-spons&th=1
However, i didnt take into account thatthe neck is VERY narrow at the top frets. It tapers considerably. And my finger dexterity/arthritis/whatever already really sucks. So even when i CAN transition smoothly from one chord to another, like 60% of the time one of my sausage fingers in touching and muting another string and its SUPER frustrating. I kind of love the look of this guitar. Its very me. Dark, subtle, quiet colors. Nothing too loud or flashy. They had a nice Tanglewood one made out of a whiskey barrel, and a Seagull one in Tennesee red that I really liked too, but i decided $400 was about where i should draw the line on a whim purchase. But if i cant figure something out, i might have to sell this guitar and find something with a bit wider neck at least to learn on.

I guess that valve IS the shut-off mechanism.

2019-06-04 at 6:26 PM UTC in The Retarded Thread: Malice Metro EditionGood news!!!! The growth on my leg is not cancer. I was worried when it popped up, but the MRI only shows a lipoma. Just a fatty tumor! Yay. I’m gonna live!
May have to have it removed because it is causing pain, must be laying on a nerve.
But my news today is good😅 -
2019-06-04 at 9:19 AM UTC in The biggest issue in my life is people taking issue with the fact that I'm not taking issue with enough things.
Originally posted by HTS I'm not sure how this relates, but sure. I don't know what feeling like a guy or girl feels like though. That's kind of a lie, but also not really. I mean shit what does feeling like a man or a woman feel like? I just feel like my regular ass self. Best I can figure it's really just a measure of how adequate/inadequate you feel when measuring yourself against an external set of of prescribed ideals for each gender. You don't feel like a man when you fail to live up to the expectations of what a man is. You don't feel like a woman when you fail to live up to the expectations of what a woman is. Beyond that, does "being a boy/girl" even have a feeling? 🤔
And yet, even as I question this, I always go back to that dream I had as a kid where I was a girl and I felt happy. Was that what it was like to "feel like a girl"? I don't think the girl aspect had anything special to it, I don't think I felt any different aside from being elated with that existence. I guess the thing that elated me was that "I felt like a girl", but really it's even less tangible than a feeling. I just was that, and it was right. No feeling to it. Haha.
Thank you for sharing your personal mentality and attitude towards this. My point was really more to say that a real man, a good man takes care of the ones he loves. It doesn't matter if the significant other is trans or not, that's really not what i'm going after. I just feel that if he really loves you he should want to take care of you. And i don't mean like treating you as if you're a princess, but trying to build towards something greater for the both of you.
And before anyone starts firing up the pedo bashing rhetoric, where they'll claim i can't possibly know what a real man is supposed to be like because i am [insert derogatory slur here]. I'll have you know i've been with a girl my age for a good long while now(I never said i was exclusively attracted to younger girls), and i definitely think there are some things a guy should be doing if he genuinely cares. -
2019-06-04 at 9:12 AM UTC in The biggest issue in my life is people taking issue with the fact that I'm not taking issue with enough things.
Originally posted by gadzooks I know that feel… Sort of.
I often jokingly refer to myself as a "radical centrist". When it comes to the things that most people get all heated up over (all things politics, basically), I generally either approach it with levity and humor, or from a "sure let's debate this, i'll take whatever side is less represented here" perspective, or even by just straight up staying out of it altogether.
Luckily, most people don't make a huge case out of it for me. I have been called things like SJW, cuck, or Zionist shill, by folks on the right side of the spectrum, and have been called a few things by folks on the left side of the spectrum (not as much around here, though, because NiS seems to have a vocal majority on the right side of the spectrum).
But a certain kind of freedom comes from being completely unrestricted by political stance.
You're allowed to not be zealously opiniated about every single issue. In fact, I'd go so far as to argue that it can be considered a virtue.
I'm basically with you 100% on this, down to the jokingly referring to myself as a radical centrist chad. But this viewpoint is invariably met with "PICK A SIDE YOU FENCE SITTING CUCK YOU'RE A PUSSY FOR NOT HAVING STRONGLY HELD CONVICTIONS ABOUT THINGS AND YOU'RE JUST AS EVIL AS [OPPOSITE PERSPECTIVE OF SPEAKER]". If you don't give enough of a shit to hate people, people will hate you for it. It's ridiculous! -
2019-06-04 at 8:46 AM UTC in The biggest issue in my life is people taking issue with the fact that I'm not taking issue with enough things.People like to say that not doing anything to stop problematic behavior is just as bad as being problematic, but that's bullshit. Apathetic people never hurt anyone. The only people who cause harm are the people who actively care about shit. Racism? If nobody gave a shit about race, the problem would evaporate instantly: caring about race, and caring that people care about race are the mentalities creating an issue. Don't rope my apathetic ass into your fucked up narrative and pretend I'm evil for not doing anything evil (or good). All the world's ills are problems created by - and for - people who give a shit.
Now... I don't give a shit if you stop giving a shit or not... but be honest with yourself: I'm not the problem. Just let me not a give a shit about your problems in peace. Thank you. -

2019-06-04 at 8:02 AM UTC in Anyone installed ethernet throughout their house? Give me tipsThere's an advantage to using Ethernet as opposed to WiFi. Especially when you want to port scan the entire internet and still have time for dinner using wires is great.
Also, if everything is wired you effectively reduce a potential adversary's attack surface. -
