Well I'm glad you've been getting that. Good for you. I wish I still did. It kind of put my life into perspective and made me realize how worthless I am. It took this stupid pandemic to get me to have some actual savings for once. The only good thing I've done is actually live the same and not foolishly spend all of it at once. Like I'm proud to have 4k dollars in my backdoor and I dont want to just piss it all away.

- someone else would always pick up the phone, disconnecting the connection
- there was no such thing as free long distance. any phone calls made outside the borough in NYC that i lived in were long distance.
the first 'computer' call i made was in the 70s to a doctors office using a dial-up phone, with a 7-character phone number where the first two characters were letters...using a 'modem' that literally cost as much as an average priced car. (decent cars back then were just a few grand. 10-grand was a super-luxury car)

Have to say I personally have seen nothing but benefits from this also. Empty roads, working from home 1/2 the week (not seen the boss in person but for maybe 3 times in the last 3 months), money saved, less mileage/wear and tear on the car, time to clean out and dump shit I didn't need, fix things, boomers dying and not sucking up all the SSI etc etc.
6 more months of this please.
