I agree, simple GP's with no strong diagnosis talents should not prescribe them without further investigation and some hand them out on the first visit...people hear about this and soon the doctor triples his patient list. Pharmaceutical companies visit doctors every couple of weeks and give them incentives to offer samples. As soon as a patient claims to have anxiety and panic attack he or she should do a stress and ultra sound test to rule out MVP and see if there is any fluttering or palpitations free of drugs. Esophageal Motility Disorders can cause strong palpatations leading to anxiety and panic attacks including extreme allergies if adrenaline is high and I'm sure most physicians don't care if the visit is only 10-15 minutes. Good Arab doctors amazingly enough do visual checks first and then do vital tests. Then they're scolded for taking too much time and are forced to do the opposite. Once on the meds health decreases and new symptoms show up like nerve damage.

Anyone who takes Klonopin and Lyrica for anxiety or panic attacks is not really a good combination and bad interactions are possible over time. Mental alertness decreases and so do benefits.
