Ive gone to some very informative talks on campus of adults talking about controversial subject matter and its always civil and done in a respectful manner, in the understanding that there's enough self awareness with these folks that they realize we aren't always right and we may in fact be right too, but the "I know I'm right and nothing you can do will change my mind" ive always found to be embarrassing and a clear indicator of a lack of self awareness in that sense that outside opinions don't equate to stupidity and inferiority to your own opinions.

Obviously nobody WANTS to be wrong, but I think true self awareness is accepting that you can be wrong, and regerding certain issues you very likely are. People are scared to be wrong–it's humbling, tarnished egos, and can be felt as though due to being incorrect about one thing dimishes one's credibility therefore nobody will take them seriously about other matters.

a lot of times, like everything else the message delivered by the medium shapes how you react to it. It's easier to take criticism and admit you're wrong to someone you see as being of somewhat equal stature to you versus someone you see as inherently inferior. Most people are guilty of this to an extent and will defend a position they aren't so confident about because the person they're conversing with can't articulate the nuances of the detriment of your position.

I try to be pretty open IRL unless I subconsciously determine someone to be an "other" (enemy) and from then on they are basically dead to me and I assume they think the same about me even if they don't. Yes my personal/emotional issues affect every part of my life thanks for asking

To me it's very obvious between those who are self aware and those are aren't. You can't necessarily determine it from looking at someone or a brief series of encounters but after enough interaction and observation it becomes self evident.

People who generally boast about accomplishments or tend to have those "one up" type of responses or stories are classic cases of un-selfawareness. They're goal is to prove to themselves and others thst they are worthy, important, of value, when that's generally not the case but of course they aren't aware of what they're doing or how they're behaving. I think it's a good thing to be self conscious to a degree that you recognize how your actions affect other people and how those people will likely respond to that.

Much respect to people who can admit faults, not claim to be know-it-alls, and contain the ability to look at things rationally and with a level head, despite the heated nature that can be involved.

lol op is actually correct... i was walking down my street and had squirrels yelling at me "you want some of dis bitch" and i was like "no i don't want to get you're weird rabies" and I saw a bunch of birds and squirless (speeling) in the road with cars running over them and there little bodies flying up in the air. I had to take a detour (not that i know what that word means) just so i wouldn't have a ditch witch number 9 rubber marsupial fly on my face. I would have lost it even more than before.

my left eye still spasms to this day.

i shot a squirrel one time. it fell out of the tree...landing in the grass...twitched a couple of times...and stopped moving.

i was looking through the tree for the next recipient of my trigger love when another skwerl runs along a branch...down the trunk...and hops up to the not-moving skwerl that i had just shot. the lead-enhanced skwerl was still alive since it twitched its tail a few times and moved its head. the lead-deficient skwerl nuzzled it a few times at various places around its body then started consistently nuzzling it just below its head.

at first i thought the lead-enhanced skwerl might be a relative and the lead-deficient one was offering some sort of condolences or attempts at skwerl first-aid.

those thoughts went away real quick then the lead-deficient skwerl took off up the tree with the other skwerls front arm then perched on a branch eating it completely.

  10. Rest easy in the knowledge that in your next life Erica will again be part of it.

A wise old witch once told me we come to this Earth many times and learn a little more each time and the people you meet/know you meet again in the next life (and theirs).

Your father may be your son in your next life, your mother may be your sister...and Erica may be your Brother.

Erica Murica, She was the most beautiful girl I've ever been with I would fuck her like a level 69 warlock, she taught me a lot of things with out a poison apple, but rather instead an egg on top (literally everything taste better with an egg on top) and saying "right" over and over makes you "right"

I honestly don't think I will ever have another designated slampig like that in this nation. I went to the store and I picked up a can of chef boyardee and it all came flooding back at 6am and I was like "fucking bullshit!" and started to get all teary and some dude asked me "bromo are you alright?" and I was yeah I have to go now.

It felt like it was the worst damn day of my life and but unfortunately not my last.

I vacuum my place pretty regularly but I still find her hair every where after 5 months, i thought about hitting her up and seeing how she's feeling now but I think I will leave it alone, somethings are so hard to say even though you say them everyday, so I just wrap my lips around a cool black pepsi coke.

The sex was so good that I don't really try hard to get laid anymore I have wavves and wavves of slammers at my disposal put nothing helps and no one else, but my love Erica Murica. I remember on the fourth of july over a year ago we had a blast, sh was wearing a t-shirt with the murican flag and eagle on it, but i guess at the same time she was kind of a bimbo.

I miss her so much, but I have a knack for always saying the wrong thing. But its because I suffer from the sexiest learning disability sexlexia.

When I told her I love her and she said this isn't love, I felt like my heart needed glue.

university is enjoyable but doesn't do much for marketable skills unless you do something to stand out. I put on every resume that I have a college degree but I don't really apply for jobs in my field so it's whatever. I like university, it's a good environment and yes, professors push agendas but kids need to know some things aren't cut and dry. the best prof I ever had is a completely cynic with a squeaky voice who taught classes on political violence and spycraft. I would definitely hide a body with him and he was very engaging in class. Every other prof hated him but I googled him and he's done some great things he never talked about.

anyways, school is what you make of it. 20k over a couple years really isn't shit. if you're just in it to make money then get a trade and work in oil and gas. if you want a more informed worldview and to learn things in an environment where you're encouraged to do so, go to university, then you can just become a college dropout like kanye west

I’ll be heading home soon , came in to help on first shift and they said if I did I could leave about 5 when this other chick comes in

I’m expecting lots of trick or treaters and I’ll be dressed in costume myself πŸ˜‹

Last year my neighbor was dressed like a scarecrow and layed there lifeless until someone came on the porch then just scared the hell outta folks

I only knew because of the random screaming every 5 min and saw those poor parents and kids running for their lives

I’m glad it’s slmose time to go

Well you don't have to believe in something to acknowledge that others do, The 9000 number was again as demonstration only...(and as noted in my post that said at the bottom (actual figures may vary)).

The point is religion is about faith, faith in something. An agnostic doesn't have faith that a particular god exists anymore than a atheist does..sure he is open to the possibility but that's not having faith in a god...so in that sense you are similar to an Atheist...Neither of you have faith in any one (or more) god(s).

Raised Catholic, guilted all my life; no longer a practicing Catholic. I do believe in a God. Not a God of organized religion, but a higher power, I consider that power my God.

All I can do is have faith in this being, and try to be good to others.
