i want to post my random thoughts, so this is the thread to do it.
Anyways, I was thinking about how I need a bigger audience to use as my intellectual cumdump, and I thought that maybe you would remember when I wasn't so cynical and I used to laugh and play, and laugh at myself which Iis something I completely forgot how to do when I got back from the Retarded Thread, and I want my persuasive writing to drop more UUMPH

I think that once we (the collective) start to view food as little more than another class of drugs, that it'll almost force people to start questioning everything a LOT more. Food and dinnertime are basically the driving motivations behind most people's lives. It's not family, it's three meals a day. Once it's understood that the "optimal" diet is a TPN concoction, and that having a permanent internal IV bag that gives you a continuous drip every hour of the day is the healthiest way to live, cooking is nothing more than the type of art performed when a shaman mixes up ayahuasca in his cauldron. It creates a more complex product, and probably a richer experience, but it isn't necessary, and it isn't nearly as safe or healthy.
Once people aren't constantly occupied thinking about redosing drugs three times a day, they'll have to rethink huge chunks of their lives. We spend A LOT of time eating, preparing, or thinking about food. This time is either going to be spent using other drugs (TV, shopping, alcohol, sex) or spent thinking.
Thinking often leads to disturbing thoughts. Disturbing thoughts are either accepted for what they are, or ignored and pushed away; and generally are then perceived as morally bad to justify not thinking about them. Some people who are unable to deny their own thoughts and reasoning, but are also unwilling to accept and be at peace with these thoughts, are those who go insane.

Agreed. π All forms of entertainment are designed to distract the masses… from how good the ruling elites have it… and to help prevent us from unifying together and revolting…or possibly engaging in a revolution. However, some of them are inherently interesting to me… and do contribute something to society… they have their place.
This used to be true, but there is so much entertainment now that fiction and prophecy are indistinguishable. If someone tells you a story to entertain you, there's a solid chance they're revealing divine knowledge rather than distracting you from it. Whether they realize this or not. π
