flatlanders are from anyplace around vt except nh and Maine, ie conn, masss, ny, they flock here on the weekends to snow ski mt bike motorcycle and snowmobile depending on the season,, most of the houses up here are owned by out of staters as vacay homes and b n b. anyways mid week its nice but weekends our little state is overun with flatlanders. usually we see 4 to 10 sleds mid week on the trails we ride and on the weekends we see 50 to 100 all day. but its been a bad snow winter this year so last weekend was the first weekend the trails were openly open on the map even tho many trails have been open for 6 weeks to locals in the know. so this being the second good weekend open to everyone they flocked here like it was a gold rush and they totally killed the snow we had left as it was 32 degrees here for the last week makin the snow wet and it just got blown off the trail and into the woods

not planning to ride today cuz yesterday was a motherfucker and the trails were spanked out hard. my friend counted 80 sleds in 22 miles between his house and mine but we knew where to go to get away from the flatlanders and we only saw 4 sleds the whole rest of the day

30 miles of trail were still ungroomed and had trees down across the trail that i had to cut and move to continue going to our lunch/ gas location we had planned on getting to not to mention the river running down the trail we had to navigate through and around boulders and a shitload of rocks and being we have new sled we had to go under 15 mph through all that shit so we didnt ruin the sleds, that took 3 hrs to go 30 miles so we had to make a shorter loop than we had planned or we wouldnt have gotten home till midnight

well I didnt do much today but i did shovel off the snow from the semi trailer and rode my long track around the yard packing trails ,, oh and i also tracked in my driveway, it hasnt been plowed all winter so it had about 14" of wet snow sitting everywhere so I packed it down with one of my tacoma's so now when it freezes up tonight itl be rock solid and ready for more snow

we ride most places at 30 to 50 mph but in the straits and fields we get up to 100, my sled will do 118 mph but i'm to old to pass 105 for more than a second or two and the faster you get it going the less miles you get out of a motor. being i got this sled for full price with a 4 year warranty I plan on putting 20,000 miles on it in 4 years.

its actually a very soft seat, but I usually stand up when riding, I'm buying a heated seat this year so when i sit back down i can be warmer cuz it gets cold out there also buying a bad ass front bumper and belly pan to protect it from trees and frozen clumps of snow in really cold riding, on days its under 5 degrees the plastics can shatter if you hit a chunk of snow frozen to the ground
