My main concern with the Governor doing that is the impact it will have on elderly voters being able to vote. They are at a high risk of dying from Covid-19 if they contract the virus making it dangerous for them to go to the ballot drop-off locations Jiggy mentioned.

In the article cited below, they talk about one man who is 82 and disabled, for him to be able to drop his ballot at the one drop box located in Harris County he must travel 72 miles into the city and back whereas before it was 16 miles.

Oh FFS, that report addresses what the thread is about, asking if you had read it is a legit question. But of course something is wrong with "you people" (which I'm not one of) because it doesn't fit your "Dems are bad" "Dems are dumb" and Trump's a victim narrative. Remind me in the future not to ask you a legit question and to just troll you rather than try to have a conversion oor discussion.

That's Russian disinformation, Ratcliffe released it to draw attention away from Trump's taxes.

Ratcliffe wrote in a letter to Graham. “The IC does not know the accuracy of this allegation or the extent to which the Russian intelligence analysis may reflect exaggeration or fabrication.”

The Russian assessment had previously been rejected as having “no basis in fact” by both Republicans and Democrats on the Senate Intelligence committee.

Star Trek, have you seen the report by Rebulican Senator Burr on the Russian Investigation? Did you read the report?

How Trump’s taxes compare to those of other presidents (1st term taxes)

Carter $6,000 (Carter’s federal tax burden for 1976 had been zeroed out by a massive investment tax credit he earned for purchasing equipment and buildings related to his peanut farm. Carter was upset, as he told The Washington Post at the time, because he had a “strong feeling” that wealthy people like him should pay at least some taxes. So he voluntarily paid the Treasury Department $6,000, the equivalent to 15 percent of his adjusted gross income and slightly more than the 14 percent paid by average taxpayers that year.)

    Reagan $165,202

    HW Bush $101,382

    Clinton $62,670

    George W Bush $25,221

    Obama $1.8 million
    ...................................Trump $750

Not exactly, he only confirmed the reason the trip to the cemetery was cancelled was due to weather, what he said about whether he thought Trump disparaged the military: "I can’t prove the negative that he never said those things," Bolton told host Martha MacCallum. "The president has a habit of disparaging people. He ends up denigrating almost everybody that he comes in contact with whose last name is not Trump."

"I was simply responding to what I thought [was] the main point of The Atlantic article: that at the critical point Saturday morning, when the decision was made not to go to Aisne-Marne, that he made the disparaging remarks," Bolton said, "and he did not."

He also said (which Fox conveniently does not recap when touting he claimed it was false) in response to Trump's remarks earlier in the day about Top Pentagon Officials :“Now, with respect to what people at the Pentagon think, and I think this is important,” Bolton said in response, “Apart from being incoherent, Elizabeth Warren really couldn’t have said it better.”

The victims were known and well-liked in the community. "A friend and local business owner said the three activists were known to the community as peaceful demonstrators who rallied against police brutality and systemic racism while condemning the use of violence during protests."

There' is a chit-ton wrong with "Ballot-harvesting," which is… why the Democraps want it to be a "mail-in" election and for them spreading all their "fear mongering propaganda" over it… 👎

just where was all their concern after Obama put all the "current policies" into place- in 2012… ?🤷🏻‍♀️

…and before TRUMP's Executive orders essentially, putting the hammer on all their unnecessary fund requests of/in their CARES ACT legislation wanting to help "bail-out" chitty run Democrat states? hmmm?!

The only case of ballot harvesting and fraud I've ever hear of happened here a couples years ago and was done by a republican

When that was first reported here earlier in the week, they said the little boy was riding his bike in Sessoms yard (the shooter) but that seems to have changed. Wilson's about 20 miles east of me

We are of the same mind Splam, I struggle with the whole concept of systemic racism because of the fact there are just as many poor whites (who were often treated as poorly as slaves), often living in the same neighborhoods suffering the same struggles. It's not skin color relative but more of an income inequity that grows larger by the day, that all colors of skin face. If you don't have money, it's hard to get the education, the hand up, etc. etc.

True Gadzooks, I'm rather glad to see someone else feels as I do about it though

Many lower-tier immigrant groups have successfully done it. The opportunities are there.

I struggle with my feeling on BLM and if racism plays much of a part in today's world. Our past was awful and shameful, however like Splam said if the initiative is taken, anyone regardless of color has the opportunity in today's world to be successful. There are MANY successful black's in today's world belying the systemic racism argument
