Speedy people try but they are caught, there are protections in place to protect the election. Everything you posted was a person getting caught not getting away with it

For pity sake what on earth do you think unsolicited means, it means the state sent the voters on their registration rolls ballots with out the voter having to requested it.

“The new study shows 1.8 million excess, or ‘ghost’ voters in 353 counties across 29 states,” said Judicial Watch President Tom Fitton. “The data highlights the recklessness of mailing blindly ballots and ballot applications to voter registration lists. Dirty voting rolls can mean dirty elections.”

Aldra, There were only 15 states that mailed out unsolicited ballots and a lot of them have been doing that for quite a while and have the process down to a science. Given the way Trump had been raging about voter fraud, etc. the ones that are doing it for the first time this year only opens the process up to more scrutiny, personally, I think it was a stupid move and gives Trump an opening to contest the results.

My state allows anyone to vote absentee but also requires you to attest that it was you who filled it out with a signature on the back of the envelope along with the signature and address of a witness who saw you fill it out. I think it'd be pretty hard for someone to submit a fraudulent ballot. Also when registering you have to provide your state ID, driver's license, or last four of your SSN and a photo ID.

The National Conference of State Legislators website has a chart on how states verify voted absentee ballots. I've put the link below

    Poley,
According to the analysis (by the Tax Policy Center), for those in the bottom quintile, which include people making less than $25,000, tax cuts would average $750 in 2022. Those in the next quintile, making between $25,000 and $50,000, would see a tax cut of $790. Those in the middle, earning between $50,000 and $89,000, would see a tax cut of $620, while those making between $89,000 and $160,000 would see a cut of $420.

The top earners, by contrast, would see a steep increase. Those in the top 1%, who earn more than $788,000, would see an average tax increase of $266,000, while the super earners — or those in the top 0.1% — would see an average tax hike of $1.6 million.

Biden has also proposed raising the corporate tax rate back to 28% from the 2017 Trump tax cuts 2017.

    https://www.cnbc.com/2020/10/15/biden-tax-plan-gives-620-tax-cut-to-middle-class-new-study-says.html

This article expllains the corporate tax change fairly well and there would be a penalty for moving jobs overseas

Obbe, these should give you a little bit better idea of what is being proposed by the Biden team.

All's I know is I'm sick of working and seeing my tax dollars taken while to the top wage earners don't pay shit and the corporations pay little to nothing. They keep earning money hand over fist while the lower and middle class support the country. Trickle down my ass, they don't trickle down anything.

I am so sorry to hear of your losses Casper and Oct. (and anyone else close to him), if the first picture with the little girl is recent he looks like he was doing well. It's so sad to lose someone so young, I'll send up prayers for those who were close to him.

Just a side note: given the pain in the leg it sounds like possibly a blood clot may have broke lose and went to the heart. It's pretty instant and often not detectable.

Health care in the US is somewhat a mess, even though the ACA definately needs changes/improvements it's good in that it protects people with pre-existing conditions and allows low-income people to obtain insurance at affordable raates. Prior to it people with pre-existing conditions such as cancer werew charged outrages amounts for their insurance, if they could even get coverage, and were subject to lifetime limitations on coverage. Hopefully the US doesn't go back to if your sick your shit out of luck unless your weathy. It is very sad.

I would love to work from home, unfortunately at the time we are not but we are also a small office of only 3 people and lots of space.
We're seeing big increases in several states here also. Each of our states acted differently on restrictions so I'm just waiting to see what happens where I'm at. Your casualty rate per 100,000 is much lower than the US's so I assume most people follow the restrictions and guidelines which is great and I'm sure make's you feel much safer. Here you can pretty much divide it down party lines like everything else here for years now.

I agree Aldra. I'm sure Trump will definately not accept it and will fight results all the way to the Supreme Court, however Biden has said once ALL votes are counted he will concede peacefully and I believe he will. I'm actually looking for the right to declare Trump a winner on the night of the election, I've noticed alot of the leaders on the right have made specific mention to "the winner on the 3rd" when all the states have made it clear that counting the votes could go on way past the 3rd.

All the shit going down right now could easily be part of the prologue to future history books talking about the 21st century US civil war.

I agree Meikai, things are coming to a head and could very much get out of control. I never thought I'd see things like we've been seeing here in the US. The scenes of police and armed reserves pushing back on protesters, firing rubber bullet, beating with their batons and dispersing tear gas reminded me of scenes of the protest in Hong Kong. Protesters or those who took advantage of the protest rioting and setting buildings on fire were out of control and good Lord Portland what the hell are the leaders in that city thinking just ceding control of the city to the protestors, it's bizarre. Armed protesters rushing the capital building in Michigan, plotting to kidnapp and put on "trial" the Michigan Governor to no doubt find her guilty of treason and kill her.

The country is very divided and very volitile I'd be surpised actually if things didn't escalate and become out of control
