2024-09-12 at 9:04 PM UTC in Taking advantage of wealthy immigrants within the school system.well things are going well. by cutting out sugar, oil and most like grains I'm cutting weight down, my vision is improving a bit (Which is all I have prayed for because that means it's not getting any worse which is my biggest fear), I fucking feel healthy as shit, I'm scoring extremely well in all my classes and I have a job running this recovery ranch
all I need is a romantic interest to give my life that real pizazz but I believe it'll happen when the time is right lol -

America is truly a magical place. This is beautiful. Frivolously -- dare I say vexatiously -- claiming to be a class member in some lawsuit you barely understand and which you may have basically zero standing to count yourself a part of, all to make a quick buck.
Land of the free. Land of opportunity. God Bless America. -

Damn, 40% back on my steam library would be a nice little pay day. God speed brother -

2024-09-07 at 4:05 PM UTC in Do GPS devices transmit anything?A SIM card doesn’t really have anything to do with GPS. You can probably still get gps shit that doesn’t have a SIM card, you just need the appropriate radio to receive GPS signal. AFAIK there’s no transmission involved in determining a position using GPS, no record of it other than one that a GPS device itself makes (ie in phones the positioning result is reported to the OS and forwarded to interested user land software)

That picture brought memories of Christmas 1983 flooding back. The girl I was living with managed a local Radio Shack and stole one for me for Christmas. -

That was my very 1st computer. If I recall it has a Z80 processor running at around 0.9 Mhz with 4k of memory and some sort of motorola VGD chip for graphics that was 256x?.with what? A 16 color pallet?
I remember the pixels were so large you could count them with the naked eye. I bought the 16k memory expansion deal. Oh man loading from cassette. The next year I got a TRS 80 COCO II and thought I was hot shit with ROM packs and a dual 5½" FDD and a 900 BAUD accoustic modem.
That was 1983, the 1st year compuserve opened for the consumer market. Text based "internet". I believe it was more like a WAN with access to things like a "CB" channel, which was like IRC but a different protocol. They had some ASCII games and some sort of general reference "library". I'm sure there was more but at that time I was more into learning BASIC and Pascal so, while I'm sure they had more I don't recall what?
Anyhow cool find from a nostalgic sense but not really that useful TBH. -
