30A breaker is incorrect for that wire size and incorrect for those receptacles. It won't protect them properly, it would let you overheat them.
Should be protected at 20A maximum. And in an unfinished basement the circuit should have GFCI protection as well, which you can do by using a GFCI breaker, or a GFCI receptacle as the first receptacle in the circuit and wiring all 'downstream' receptacles through it )

As a loophole to bypass some rules that they feel strongly about. I think its amazing theyre engine annuity in this matter, now heres the details;
They arent supposed to be out doing stuff on the holy daY ( I believe this day is what yanks refer to as Sunday, I think they call it the shabat or the sabbath ). Examples of things they shouldnt be doing is working shopping or doing chores or pushing wheelchairs or using powertools or electricity, but they feel these rules only apply outside of their home.
SO what they come up with is if they put a wire around a place that they want to go and its their wire that basically they figure that place is now their home so its OK to do stuff there. So they put this up all over the place so they can do what they want.
When the wire breaks there phone goes off with an alert that says "THE jedi WIRE IS DOWN" and they all freak the fuck out and scramble because they are technically now in holy violation.
