signal booster, yeh maybe thats what i should get. it's kind of funny to me that the "round about" way of making something work is the simplest.

to me it is more logical to plug an antenna into the device, rather than add a device and have two antennas and "repeat" the signals.

Do laptops not have expansion ports anymore? Some of em used to have PCMCIA slots for add on cards.

They r awesome cuz for 1 they at least doubled the active userbase. Plus their existence pisses off the reerees which makes me happy. Luckily they ruined the local vibe which used to be VERY edge-tard/cringe-lord and so dey mellowed things out a bit with some normalcy.

T Mobez, willing to switch or add a second carrier for one of the devices but I have had a great experience on their network using pretty heavy amounts of data. Signal just doesn't penetrate far into this building too well.

Been using my phone for my internet connection ( use an app that makes it a Wifi hotspot ). Worked well except I have to keep the phone way across the building where it gets a strong 4G signal, because If I keep it next to me where my computer is it only gets a couple bars and I get poor speeds. This sucks because I never hear the phone ring or beep for messages.

I need a new phone and a new laptop, so I was wondering if anyone knows good models that have accessible antenna ports ( like the little SMA coaxial connector or something). Then I could install an outdoor/rooftop antenna and bring the antenna cable right to my desk.

I copied my photos and did factory reset, as soon as it finished installing and brought me to the android homepage it started bitching about moisture.

The problem is sort of intermittent and usually the trick is to reboot it without charger connected, and plug it in on repower when the samsung logo shows up, but before the OS loads. I bet this is a ploy to trick people into buying the slow ass wireless charger, must be the people who were signing folks up for the unwanted Wells Fargo accounts went to work at Samsung.

I tried using the phone as a USB tether on the pc and then sharing the web connection back to the phone over wifi ( fucking LOL ) and the usb link would kickout when I tried going full-circle. Guess I'm not getting any samsung updates. I have no faith in this thing, I'll check prices for piece-of-shit fucked up ones like mine and it it isn't worth much I'll be destroying it after I get a replacement.

Oh I just thought of something, maybe I can use the phone as a USB tether for my laptop , and then use windows internet connection sharing to share the phones data connection back to the phone over wifi lmfao.

Yeah I will reset it but I was putting it off because I will probably have to go sit at a coffee shop for 14 f&*cking hours and let it reinstall updates again. That sounds extremely fragile if a cracked screen is gonna let non condensing humidity destroy the thing..... I am really let down and thru with these Samsung cocksuckers. I'll reset the thing and let you know after I make sure all my shits on the memory card.

It never got wet in the first place unless humidity from my legsweat through my pocket killed the thing. It's supposed to be under manufacturers warranty but the nearest authorized repair center says they can't fix it as a warranty claim because the screen is damaged. Well the screen replacement is over 200 bux and I don't think I'm gonna dump that into something which is already acting like a finicky piece of SHIT.

I think I'm gonna just put it in the toaster oven then slice it up on a cutting wheel if it doesn't feel like taking a charge. Can anyone tell me a phone model that isn't a overhyped piece of shit? My last one was a Huawei Ascend Mate 2 which was pretty trouble free but started to show it's age performance wise.

2 updates complete and it still is gaslighting me saying i got the phone wet. i go to barnes and nobles and park up front where i get a wifi signal and stare in at the workers while it tells me its got the most current shit then i leave and it says oh theres another 1.5gig thing i need.

i don't have anything to try to clean the port out, i took a breadbag tie and its too fat with the plastic so i ripped the plastic back where its just the small steel wire, i scooped around for lint and dust but theres not much of anything in the port and i don't want to go over the contacts with any force and fuck off the plating on them cause apparently its already bullshit. i tried oem cords and chargers and its all BULLSHIT. one of my long aftermarket cords i like to use has a gimicky ass led light on the end which makes it get pretty hot so if anything that should have dried any moisture out.

i'm really thinking of making a youtube video of smashing it with a sledgehammer and trying a different brand next time. "gorilla glass" give me a fucking break ( cuz i already have a bunch of cracks and chips on this turdass phone)! i could cut out a phone shaped piece of tempered window glass and it would be more durable than this weak ass piece of dogshit.

the thing was sold as an "unlocked" model so it shouldn't have some kind of built in allegiance to the carriers ,trying to save them from data usage on updates or something...

To give you some background, she is really into Krav Maga and crossfit ( loves throwing around truck tires LOL ). It's a whole whopping 180 megabytes and I can find no way to over-ride this limitation. Very irritating as the phone has become a wonky piece of shit constantly dying on the charger claiming it "detected water in the charging port" despite the fact that the phone has never been exposed to undue moisture or humidity, and I am hoping this update fixes their fuck up.

My SOLE source of internet which I use for about 200 gigs of data a month but you cool dudes wont let me download one little update. Samsung S8 is a piece of shit, get a bargain phone these suck ass.

I like the idea of the full-length box to haul normal sized materials with the gate up, and the extended cab to save a bit of overall length but still have some room to recline and store jackets etc behind seats. Chevy and Dodge both seem to just offer standard cab and two different depths of 4 door trucks, Ford Superduty still does standard, extended, or 4 door. Hmm, that might actually be a good youtube or blog idea - test-driving all of the different cab and box configurations of the different manufacturers and comparing the lengths,wheelbases, cabin space, turning radii etc.

I think the EcoBoost stuff is cool, I would consider it on a half-ton since they ought to have had enough time to work out any kinks by now. Turbo diesel is even cooler though - interestingly Chevy now builds a "Baby Duramax" which they offer in the Express Van and I think the Colorado as well, I guess Ram does an "Eco Diesel" and Ford has a mini powerstroke for the f150.

I also think the "euro" style cargo vans are awesome for being able to stand up inside , but the styling is pretty fugly and they have little motors and poor towing capacity. I don't get why they don't build something like that with a fullsize motor and some real towing capacity, maybe even with good styling like the last generation Econoline.

Also, none of the fullsize American vans every had factory 4x4, lol WTF? Finally, Mercedes/Freightliner sprinter vans introduced a factory 4x4 option (modelyear 2017 I think) and have a high roof but of course they don't have any particularly powerful motor options, or able to tow above 7500 pounds..

Also the emissions systems on modern diesels terrify me because they seem to have stricter requirements all of the time so it's like they are constantly being redesigned and never have time to work out the bugs.
