Supposedly, your airway closes off and you ultimately die of asphyxiation. The water enters your lungs only if you swallow a bunch while struggling. There's no direct inhaling of water afaik.
That's just what I've heard though, could be wrong. -

Fair enough. Lesson learned, I guess. In the future, I'd suggest not letting the next one talk to other men, period. The only reason they do is for validation/approval. And, even if it is benign on their part, it never is on the other guy's. -
