Maybe, but it could also be more complicated than that:

Will Canada benefit from climate change?

Several global agricultural studies predict benefits from climate change for Canada—one model projects the productive value of Canadian prairie farmland could increase by 1 to 4 per cent or up to $4 billion annually. However, these studies are usually highly simplified and estimate farming benefits based only on projected temperature increases—a reductionist approach that assumes warming temperatures will extend the growing season for key crops and grow the land base available for farming. These studies fail to account for more specific effects of climate change and other factors crucial to the viability and success of agriculture: more frequent extreme weather events, the expansion of pests and diseases, water availability, and soil quality.

The Busy Worker’s Handbook to the Apocalypse

Climate change will cause agricultural failure and subsequent collapse of hyperfragile modern civilization, likely within 10–15 years. By 2050 total human population will likely be under 2 billion. Humans, along with most other animals, will go extinct before the end of this century. These impacts are locked in and cannot be averted. Everything in this article is supporting information for this conclusion.

I've really been enjoying this game, good recommendation.

Seems like a lot of people have a lot of complaints about it though. I don't understand how.

I have been pretty slow at this game, probably because I've only played it while high.

I'm looking forward to designing my own ship.

"Canadian Wildfires Could Keep Burning Through Winter", According to Canadian Natural Resources Minister Jonathan Wilkinson

"There remains a likelihood that some existing fires they continue to be active through September and possibly later into autumn or even winter," Wilkinson said.

Human-caused climate change, driven by fossil fuel use, is increasing the frequency and intensity of extreme weather events, scientists say, having long warned that government officials must slash emissions to prevent climate disasters.

even then you're being dishonest by equating observable viruses with 'consensus that the climate is changing'

People want to shut down farms and pumps? News to me, certainly not something I have posted about.

How do you know viruses make people sick? Maybe viruses were just created by the demons to trick people into thinking it's not actually demons?

Central Greece flooded. It rained the amount of the average annual precipitation, overnight

Storm Daniel has already caused significant problems in central Greece, while it is expected to affect most of the mainland, including Attica, by the afternoon.

Climate change, warming oceans causing more rapid intensification in hurricanes

"If you think of a tropical cyclone in general, it intensifies by extracting energy from the ocean," said Karthik Balaguru, a scientist for coastal modelling at Pacific Northwest National Laboratory in Seattle.

"So in a broader kind of perspective, if the oceans are warming up more and more as the climate changes, then they will provide a more favourable environment for the storms to intensify."

    The Ocean Has a Fever

The map above shows sea surface temperature anomalies on August 21, 2023, when many areas were more than 3°C (5.4°F) warmer than normal.
