6 more years… again, until its too late… again.

You would have to be an idiot to become fearful or obedient due to climate change. I haven't changed one thing about the way I live my life.

You would also have to be an idiot to think this is a giant conspiracy.

Climate nears point of no return as land, sea temperatures break records, experts say

"We've run out of time because change takes time," said Sarah Perkins-Kirkpatrick, a climatologist at Australia's University of New South Wales.

Nations are criticized for not setting more ambitious goals despite global temperate records, specifically at meetings such as the climate talks in Bonn which just took place. COP28 in November, and talks between the US and China next week, are not likely to produce anything significant in the way of major changes.

"We are really getting to the moment of truth … I am hoping that the sheer reality will help us change people's moves and change the politics."

Super-rich warned of ‘pitchforks and torches’ unless they tackle inequality

Today's Guardian reports on a London investor meeting in which arguments for philanthropy took a dark turn from the usual status and self-congratulation. The global ultra-wealthy in attendance were warned that "poverty and the climate emergency were going to get 'so much worse,'" and philanthropy was positioned as a means to mitigate rising chaos. Re-branding philanthropic acts to the general public was discussed as a tool to shape perceptions and manage anger and blame.

‘Off the charts’: Earth’s vital signs are going haywire

Meteorologists and climate scientists all around the world are in awe by the simultaneous literal “off the charts” records being broken. From ocean temperatures, to sea ice, to land ice to emissions from wildfire smoke, the charts below speak for themselves.

    Yes, it’s climate change.

Can't find Sriracha? Here's why the shortage is a sign of our harsh climate reality

Huy Fong Foods, the maker of the popular Sriracha hot sauce, is still experiencing a shortage of chile peppers due to drought conditions in Mexico. The company used to source all of its peppers from a single supplier in Ventura County, California, but switched to multiple suppliers in Mexico after a bitter contract dispute. A recent study has shown that even crops that require less water, such as chile peppers, are still being impacted by drought and competition from water-hungry crops upstream. This shortage has led to rising prices for the sauce, with some desperate fans resorting to swiping bottles from stores and restaurants. The shortage is a reminder of the susceptibility of supply chains to weather-related shocks, and experts warn that future food supply shortages are all but assured with the current amount of water used in the United States.

    yes ?

The insurance industry only operates in countries where they can make a profit with annual policies that limit exposure. As climate change worsens at an accelerating pace, massive amounts of value are being eradicated from middle class families in developed nations. There comes a point where adaptation is no longer possible because there are no resources to expend on the process. The retreat of the insurance industry is an early signal that society as we know it is collapsing. The viability of the way we live is over. Many people still cannot see it.

burn it all to a crisp!

Behold! He is coming with the clouds! And every eye shall be blind with his glory! Every ear shall be stricken deaf to hear the thunder of his voice! Let the men, women, and children of the Earth come forth to gather and behold the power of Atom! Let those who dwell here in his favored land attend now to the words of the Prophet of Atom! Come forth and drink the waters of the Glow, for this ancient weapon of war is our salvation, it is the very symbol of Atom's glory! Let it serve as a reminder of the Division that has occurred in the past and the resplendence of the promise of our division in the times to come! Give your bodies to Atom, my friends. Release yourself to his power, feel his Glow, and be Divided. There shall be no tears, no sorrow, no suffering, for in the Division, we shall see our release from the pain and hardships of this world. Yea, your suffering shall exist no longer; it shall be washed away in Atom's Glow, burned from you in the fire of his brilliance. Each of us shall give birth to a billion stars formed from the mass of our wretched and filthy bodies. Each of us shall be mother and father to a trillion civilizations. Each of us shall know peace, shall know an end to pain, and shall know Atom in his glory. I urge you, my friends -- come, drink with me and pray... Glorious Atom, I give unto you these feeble bones. I present to your will this frail body. I beg of you to use me as your vessel, guide me to your brilliance, divide each particle and give relief to this rotten flesh. Cast the fragile form of this ephemeral body into new life in the forge of your Glow. Atom, come -- bestow your presence on your unworthy servant. We stay true, until the Day of Division -- until the dawn of your return to His humble world.

Widespread drought deals nation’s breadbasket significant blow

Farmers in the nation’s heartland are dealing with a severe drought that has the potential to lead to the smallest wheat crop since the 1960s. Early estimates put 2023 production totals at about 191 million bushels, which is lower than the 10-year average and below the 260 million bushels harvested in 2022. Kansas farmers said growers losing about 90% of their crops due to the drought and said there is little time to turn the situation around. Since the start of the year, Kansas has seen nearly 500 reports of severe weather, with sizable hail and wind gusts accounting for 95% of all reports.

At this rate of crop yield decline we will experience levels of famine that the world has never experienced before considering how much larger the population has grown since the significant famines prior.

As Smoke Darkens the Sky, the Future Becomes Clear

The world is shifting into a new geologic era which has been described as the Anthropocene. It's also been described as the pyrocene, or an era which most of the worlds boreal forests among other are at risk of burning down causing massive CO2 emissions not to mention the loss of wildlife, habitat and timber. “Fire isn’t going away,” “We’re going to be burning for this entire century.”
